TW: brief mentions of a gunshot

Jordyn Chase. She's hands down the smartest in her group. She can solve math equations in seconds. She can discover and solve problems that scientists can't even begin to comprehend. But she couldn't figure out what happened to Jess. Or why it happened. It just happened. Let's move on with her story, shall we?

Jordyn decided to fill a water bottle with the punch before it inevitably got spiked. It was now around 11:00 pm and she is drinking that punch. Wow, she thought. Being designated driver sucks. She decided that it was time to start rounding up her friends. Last time she heard from Mia, she was trying to seduce Toby. Jordyn had dragged Mia away but hasn't seen her since. She hasn't heard from Leah or Jess for a while. I need to find Leah and Mia. Jess is probably passed out somewhere. She sighs and puts her water bottle in her bag and goes to round up everyone.

Along the way, she realizes that there is no point in looking for Leah. They're at her house. She'll probably wake up with some random dude in the morning. It's okay. That's not her problem.

She keeps walking around and looking for her friends. Along the way, she almost trips over someone on the ground. "What the-? Oh, it's just Jess." She steps back so she can get a better look at her. Her hair is all in her face and her shirt was riding up. Her makeup was smudged as well. Jordyn kicks her. Jess jolts.

"Mom? School doesn't start...until the potato...sings 'Sweet Caroline'." Jess then passes out once more.

Jordyn kicks her again. Jess shoots up. "Ow! Owie! Ow! Who the-? Oh, it's just Jordyn." She rolled her eyes. "What do you want?"

"Well, I wanna get you outta here and at your house before your dad has my head," Jordyn responded. Jess showed no signs of getting up, instead, she held her head, mumbling about "the worst hangover ever". Jordyn shakes her head and throws her over her shoulder. She starts walking across the lawn to find Mia.

"Hey J?"

"Yeah, Jess?"

"If I throw up on you, don't get mad cause I didn't ask to get carried like a sack of potatoes."

Jordyn ignores that last comment and goes to find Mia. As she walks across the lawn, Jess decides to shift on her shoulder causing her to stumble and almost fall.

"Jess," Jordyn growls.

"Yes~,?" Jess says with a sweet smile.

"Don't," Jordyn replied with a stern voice.

Jess's smile falls and she goes back to leaning all over Jordyn's shoulder.

Jordyn sighs. I can't believe I have to deal with these idiots, she thinks. She finally stops at Leah's huge mansion. She listens closely. Soon, Jordyn hears Mia's drunken squeal. Jordyn didn't want to go into the house, so she took out her phone and texted her.

Jordyn puts her phone back in her pocket. "Jess, I'm going to leave you here for a second, kay?"

Jess smiles, "Yeah, sure, whatever." She waves Jordyn off.
Jordan steps into Leah's mansion and looks around. When she doesn't immediately see Mia, she sighs.

"Jesus, Mia. Why couldn't you be somewhere where I could see you?" Jordyn mutters under her breath. She steps further into the house and starts to weave through all the partygoers. Someone pushed her so she pushed them back. Another thing about Jordyn, she'll fight you. And she won't lose.

Jordyn steps into a room further back where she finds a shirtless Mia surrounded by dancing boys. The only thing she's wearing is her skimpy tank top. The boys are dancing in a circle around her while she's twirling and whooping under the neon lights.

"Mia!" Jordyn whisker yells. "Mia!" She says a bit louder. Mia looks over at her and flashes a huge, drunken smile.

"Heyyy," Mia grins. "Here for the party? Whooo~!" She starts to dance again. Jordyn grabs her arm. Mia looks up to see a cold, hard, green-eyed glare.

"We're leaving," Jordyn states. At this point, she was ready to snap. It was 11:23 pm. She was tired. It was a school night and Jordyn was not having it. She drags Mia out of the house, ignoring her protests. When they step out of the mansion, they can't find Jess.

"Hey, wasn't Jess just out here?" Jordyn wonders aloud. All of a sudden, the two girls heard a gunshot and a blood-curdling scream.
