Abigail never planned for things to be this way.
She was frail, and a bookworm and never got out much.
She was now 18 and there wasn't much she could do as a human. Often discriminated because of her species, her plan was to run away and find neutral land. Being in a pack was painful for a human like her.
Somewhere lurking in the shadows was Alpha King Adrian Reagan, waiting upon the cry of his mate. He had waited over 1000 years.
And just before he had given up,
