TWENTY-THREE

It wasn't getting shot that Rose was having trouble dealing with it was Tyler not helping them. Rose knew Tyler was going through a difficult time and he didn't know who he could trust but she had hoped he would have more trust for the people he had known his entire life than those who had only just appeared in town. Rose knew he probably trusted Jules more because she had told him the truth but Tyler knowing the truth made Damon more inclined to kill him which is why Caroline had kept it from him.

When Caroline came through to her bedroom Rose helped her removed the tiny pieces of wood which had been left in her whilst Caroline talked to Matt on the phone. Caroline was supposed to be meeting Matt but she told him she needed to help Bonnie and Rose. Rose listened silently as her mind flooded with thoughts. She couldn't help but think that their lives were now ruled by the supernatural and she doubted that they would ever escape.

Rose was pulled from her thoughts of how trapped they all seemed in the world of supernatural by the sound of a knock on the front door which Caroline went to answer. Rose listened as Caroline yelled at Tyler for not helping them. She couldn't help but get angry as she listened to Tyler defend his actions. When Caroline walked past Rose whilst walking away from the door Rose walked towards the door. Rose had given Tyler advice earlier and he had ignored it. He trusted the werewolves who had now hurt his friends and she wasn't going to let him leave without reminding him of where he had gone wrong today.

"Tyler!" Rose calls out as she walks out of the house.

"Rose..." Tyler begins but Rose cuts him off.

"Don't. You don't get to talk right now." Rose speaks. "I told you to trust your friends."

"I know but..."

"I'm still talking." Rose cuts him off. "But it's okay you don't need to worry anymore. You've lost your friends now."

"Rose..."

"No, in this world you trust your friends and you help your friends!" Rose exclaims. "You don't help psychopathic murderous werewolves because they tell you the truth. The truth that makes Damon want to kill you because he doesn't think you can be trusted and tonight you showed Damon that he can't trust you." Rose pauses taking a deep breath as she realizes what will probably happen soon. "I can't protect you anymore, Caroline can't protect you anymore not after what those werewolves did to us. Do you know why they took us? They took us because they could and because no one was around to stop them. They took us because they wanted you to join their pack so go! Go join them because we don't want you around us anymore! At least when we get hurt because by vampires Damon and Stefan try to help, you did nothing and that makes you worse. Worse than the Salvatores and worse than Jules and her boyfriend. At least they know what side they're on, you're just some little kid who can't decide which side he wants to be on." Rose sighs as she finally lets out all of the emotions she had been holding in from earlier. "But don't worry you don't need to choose a side. I've chosen for you, you're a werewolf go be with the werewolves. Maybe they've got the patience to teach you how to have a backbone or maybe they'll teach you loyalty because you clearly don't have any."
