Chapter 17

Fear is powerful in the fact it can help you stay out of trouble but it can also stop you doing something that could turn out fantastic, Fear is "Fight or Flight", Can We or can't we and is part of our survival skill's.

It can cause physical and emotional responses; We can feel real problems in our bodies due to fear, The heart rate can increase, We sweat and feel nervous, Get dizzy or even burst into tear's, So what cause's fear? Well that is dependent on the individual maybe it's heights or water or making a huge life changing decision it is not limited.

If we look at fear a lot of it is learned behaviour the fear of Dog's, Dark etc there is usually a trigger somewhere in our past, There are even people that fear flowers or certain food's although rare it happen's, Which tell's us a lot of our fears are irrational and unfounded.

So how can we overcome fear so it's hold is not as powerful? Stay in the present try not to see thing's that could go wrong when we are wanting to do something or go somewhere, If something goes wrong deal with it then we shouldn't be wasting our energy on problems that haven't happened yet.

Prepare ourselves for anything we are planning or we perceive as fearful, Is there anything we can do to make the situation go smoother?

Sometimes talking about our fears will help alleviate  them a little and is well worth a go as you are also helping other's if they talk about their fear's at the same time.

Confront your fears a little at a time maybe you can get three rungs up the ladder if afraid of heights practice that until comfortable to go further, This can work with any fear we just need to test ourselves to find out how far we can go we know we can achieve anything so why let this fear beat us?

In saying this some fear is good to have it can keep you alive depending on the situation we have to decide which fear is justified and which is created in our own psyche.

What happens if we continue to let fear rule our lives? Well we will end up never trying anything for fear of failing and we wouldn't learn, To try and fail is to learn, Grow and succeed, To never try and never fail is to never learn, If we don't learn we don't grow we remain stagnant.

To me it is a little like writing this book fear was there! What if no one like's it. What if no one reads it, What if__What if, But then the thought hit me who care's if no one read's it or like's it or think's it's stupid, For by writing it learning is happening and my mind is becoming a place of deep thought and energy flow's through my body to help me create something that may never have happened, And maybe just maybe my next works will be better. ( It also help's to have some inspiration.)

Fear won't just go away by itself we need to work on it, But it will grow at an extraordinary rate if we feed it.
