"Libbybug come on sweetie wake up," Erin mutters as she rubs the back of her small brunette daughter. Her two year old squirms in her chair and begins to rub her eyes, as they open bright light blue irises gaze up at her. Every time she looked at Erin it took her breath away, it reminded Erin of the love of her life and former partner Jay Halstead.

Erin had moved to New York with out a single word to anyone, she knew she broke Jay's heart she could hear it in his voice every time they talked. Her new unit was working on a case, that had brought her back to Chicago her home; she had only informed one person of her return and that she would have someone with her. The man who she could always count on, in times when she needed him Hank Voight, her foster father and sudo grandfather to her daughter.

She knew that coming into town, she would have to confront her former partner and father to her child Jay Halstead and she was slightly worried about that factor, when she found out she was pregnant it was thanks to a call she was on. Her along with the rest of her unit came into contact with a suspicious substance and all had to be tested in the field, her HCG levels were off the chart as she tested positive for pregnancy and everything else came back negative. Her bosses sent her to the hospital to make sure her and the baby were alright once she got the all clear she was put on desk duty, which for Erin was worse than pushing papers and doing cold case work.

Erin stood once the passengers got the all clear, as she opens the over head compartment and glances back at her daughter, Elizabeth was fidgeting in her seat, "Libby calm down let mommy get our bags," she tells her daughter who sighs and stops fidgeting momentarily.

"Mommy flower," Libby says as she tries to reach for her stuffed grey and white bunny. She had kicked it off the seat while she was asleep.

Erin places Libby's diaper-bag on what was her seat, as she pulls down her duffle bag she places it on the ground reaching for the worn out bunny. As she hands it to her daughter she smiles watching her daughter snuggle it; as Erin glances at her phone she texts Hank letting him know that she's landed. As she unbuckles the toddler she puts her bag and Libby's over her shoulder as she holds her arms out. Her daughter came over to her as Erin lifts her she looks around the plane, as they exit Erin says a quite prayer that this trip would be quick and painless.

"Welcome to Chicago Libby," she says to her daughter as she walks through O'hare airport, she glances at the board seeing her bags were going to be at baggage claim 5 as she walks toward the number, she feels her breath catch.

Standing at the baggage claim was Hank, as Erin stumbles slightly she places Libby down kneeling in front of her as she straightens her daughter's t shirt and make sure she has her bunny. She then picks her little girl up feeling Libby put her head on her shoulder, as Erin rubs her daughters back she sees Hank turn. As their eyes meet he smiles, then his eyes fall on the little girl in her arms and his eyes widen, as Erin finishes walking to the baggage claim she looks at her father.

"Hey Hank," She says her voice breathless as she kept rubbing Libby's back, "I'll explain when we get to your place."

Erin then proceeded to point out the bags that were hers and her daughter's along with the car seat, as they walked to Hanks car she watches him put everything in the car. Once Libby's car seat was hooked in the car, she places her little girl in the car buckling her sleepy child in covering her with the blanket she pulled from the side of her diaper bag.

Once the door was closed she looks at Hank, who touches her shoulder, "I won't judge you Erin. We'll talk at home," he says as he walks over to the driver side, Erin follows slipping into the back of the car to sit by her daughter.

As Erin glances at her daughter she takes in the little freckles on Libby's cheeks, they were almost unnoticeable. She definitely got them from her father, along with his nose and lips; she got Erin's light brunette hair along with her ears. As Erin leans back in the seat making eye contact with Hank as he starts to head to his house. Before Erin knew it an hour had past and Libby was tucked in bed sleeping as Erin pulled two beers out of the fridge for her and Hank.
