Ember's Pov
I woke up with a throbbing headache. I then recalled last night. I couldn't even tell you how much fun that was. We were there for what felt like days. I then remembered that when we got back to Devan's apartment. Devan and I both had a glass of Champagne... or two... or three. I don't remember.
flashback
Devan and I being weird and just hanging out. We laughed, we played around with each other. I fell and Devan fell on top of me when I fell. We both laughed. Devan look at me while I still think we were drunk.
"Ember..." Devan said "you're really pretty,"
I blushed
"Em... I really like you," Devan said while laughing nervously.
I looked at him. He then leaned in and our faces got close. I felt his hot breath blow against my face. He then continued to lean in and closed the gap between us. His lips fit against mine. They fit perfectly together. The rest of the night was a blur
flashback end
I shivered at that thought. Wait... DEVAN KISSED ME?! I'm confused. I walked out of his room and to the living room. Devan was on the couch watching Grey's Anamoty. He looked at me.
"Morning Em," He said cheerfully
"Morning Dev," I said back
Devan didn't act like anything was normal. Like nothing happened. How the hell did he not remember this?
"Do you know where the Advil is?" I asked Devan
"Yeah it's in the bathroom," Devan said not looking up from his phone.
"Okay," I replied.
(I don't want to write it but let's just say when she cried she cut herself cause I don't want to cause trigger warnings with detail.)
I went into the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I took the pill and sat down on the floor. I pulled my knees to my chest and tears were forming in my eyes. The tears rolled down my cheeks and splattered onto my bare thighs. I then heard a knock on the door
"He Ember," Devan said
"yeah?" I reply
"I'm going out for a little while I'll be back later. Do you think you'll be okay here?"
"Yeah I'll be fine," I told him
"Okay just text me if you need me," Devan said. I then heard him take a few steps then stop
"Ember... Are you... Crying?" Devan asked me
"N-no," I said sniffling
"Don't lie to me Em," Devan said
The doorknob tried to turn but it didn't because it was locked
"Em, will you unlock the door?"
"No." I said to him
"Ember I will break this door down," He said "Just open it,"
"Just go Devan," I said through my tears.
"Okay," Devan said with a sudden change in his tone. I then heard him walk off. I opened the door and started walking to the kitchen after I heard the apartment door close. I stepped out and when I did Devan was waiting for me...
