Chapter 9-The wheels of a bus go round and round

I joined up with Nina and Ast at the bus stop. Nina already had her headphones in and was staring at her phone.

Normal girls probably go on social media, take selfies or do what normal teenage girls do, however our abnormal (a correction; special) Ninz was probably listening to music while reading/analysing Violet's information.

There was a reason she was our unofficial leader. (Thank you for your hard work Captain!)

Meanwhile Ast was looking around, having light chats with everyone. ("What are you listening to?" "Can I have some of your chips?" "Oh that sounds interesting")

I raised my hand and waved, like a normal person. However, Ast who could not tolerate normal, randomly high-fived me and tapped at Nina who looked up and smiled. Then we surveyed the people around us.

It is interesting to study people, especially if you can physically see their relationships.

Two girls were chatting excitingly and were smiling broadly non-stop. It looked like they practically knew each other for their whole lives, but the bonds between them were thin, blue and pathetic which meant they were strangers. Sure enough, the girls quickly ran out of things to say and awkwardly drifted apart.

Hmmm. I also spotted an enormous one-sided crush. (Teenagers..) There was a boy trying to sustain a failing conversation with a girl clearly not listening. She looked at him for a moment and teased him which got him immediately blushing.

Unfortunately, this was not seen by the girl who, once again, laughed at her phone. The guy (sorry dude) had a wrist-thick pinkish red string extending from him and surrounding the girl. Pink usually meant affection, or sometimes love (wow you totally didn't anticipate that, right?)

Unlike the strong emotions her companion, the girl thought their relationship to be acquaintances, or new friends at most. (the string about finger-thickness and yellow tainted with green, blue and pink.)

With pity, I summoned some hot-pink string and wound it around them. Suddenly the girl actually seemed more aware of her companion and tucked her phone away. Satisfied, I turned my attention way from this 'couple'. Nina caught my eye, (who already knew what I did) shared a secret smile with me. (Nina loved a little bit of gossip and drama)

The bus arrived then. After wandering for a while (the bus was always at least ten minutes late) Ast found us, and started singing. "I-am-so-ti-RED-Let's-finally-go-home!!~~~".

Nina and I laughed at this ridiculous song as we wrestled to get on the damn bus. Ast, with his ability was quick to notice change in mood and could lift the mood as easily as he could lift his hands.

We pushed and shoved into the bus, tagged on using our bus-cards (encountering the grumpy bus driver) and found seats empty here and there. Ast and I grabbed the seats empty close to the back door (Ast next to the window and me close to the alley). Nina found the seat directly in front of us. We started chatting with Nina who sat facing us (ignoring the sleeping person next to her) and let the bus take our tired bodies home.
