Yang was up early, of course. She needed to get used to it anyway, some days had passed by and she had been trying to ignore Blake when they saw each other, keeping the promise she made to Adam. The blonde looked at her surroundings, trying to navigate around the dark because she could easily trip on something and make a loud noise to wake her father or Ruby.

Her breath hitched when she heard someone open her door. She was still in her night clothes and flinched when it was Blake, giving her the 'Why the heck are you here' look with her lilac eyes wide. The faunus stood there and coughed nervously to break the silence "My father wants to see you" She whispered softly.

Yang nodded and sighed "I'll be out in a minute, just wait" She stated and went to the bathroom and after a few moments of waiting the blonde finally stepped out of the room, closing the door gently to not make any sudden noise. Yang inhaled and tightened her tie a bit before looking at the ebony haired faunus "Soooo what is this about?" She asked awkwardly, they haven't talked in a while so it was a bit weird at first, she turned her head while regretting what she just did, the blonde didn't expect Blake to be so close to her. Blake flinched as well and took a step back, clearing her throat and had her hands behind her back "Well my dad wanted to speak to you about the uh, 'incident' yesterday" She replied in a slight professional tone.

Being confused Yang just simply nodded "A-Alright, I'm guessing you're gonna escort me there?" She said "That's only if you want me to miss Xiao Long" The faunus replied and didn't bother to look at her. Yang wanted to spend a bit of time with Blake, wanting to make up those days when she ignored her and before speaking with Mr. Belladonna. The blonde opened her mouth, about to say yes but saw Adam emerge from the corner and looking at her "On second thought- I uh can go myself, thanks" Yang spoke nervously, she saw the confusion in her facial expression but left before Blake could say anything.

"Wait-"

It was too late the blonde butler was already gone. Did she say something wrong? Blake's ears flattened to her head and let out a sigh, feeling someone hug her from behind and knew it was Adam. She stayed silent then got out of her boyfriend's arms and started to walk off, the bull faunus just seemed to stand there almost as if he was glaring at Blake but shrugged it off and walked away in a different direction.

A heavy breath was being heard from Yang's mouth, stopping when she knew she was out of sight from Blake, heavily sighing and felt bad for just leaving her there but didn't wanna risk it with Adam watching them every time they interacted. Yang tightened her tie before heading inside, having a straight face while walking in "You wanted to see me Mr. Belladonna?" She asked, seeing general Ironwood and dipped her head to him respectfully.

Ghira inhaled softly and looked at Yang with his amber eyes "Yes, I did... Is it true that you punched a man yesterday during the party?" He asked. Yang flinched internally and sweat dropped, sighing and obviously having to tell the truth. "Y-Yes I did. It was only self defense though!" Yang suddenly spoke out, Ghira raised a brow then chuckled to her. "I am very well aware that you used to be a brawler so it was your instinct. For now I'll let it pass by miss Xiao Long." He said in a calm voice "My apologies for brushing you off like that" General Ironwood spoke to which Yang only gave a simple nod.

"That is all, you are dismissed" Ghira said and gestured to the door. Yang nodded once more then walked out of the room, she took a sigh of relief when she was out, being glad it was nothing serious that the teenager had to deal with. Well, it was back to work for her, Yang fixed her suit and started walking to the dining area, seeing guests and helping them with their plates. The blonde saw Adam walk up to her. "Not now goat boy I'm busy" She muttered while grabbing finished plates. "What? Can't a guy just talk to one of the most honored butlers? I gotta say, great job on backing away from Blake... I would keep it up" The faunus added with a grin and sets his hand on her shoulder. Instantly moving away and glaring at him "You are lucky I didn't punch you like that man at the party" Yang snapped lowly at him, her lilac eyes glaring at his mask.

Adam rolled his eyes which Yang couldn't see because of his face being blocked by his mask "I would like to see you even try- remember I'm the boyfriend of miss Belladonna so I suggest you don't hit me you low-life prick." He stated and flicked her nose. Blake who was slightly listening into the conversation just now twitched her ears, the black haired girl walked over to them while swatting Adam's hand away from Yang "That's enough Adam" She growled.

She was surprised, why was Blake defending her? Yang didn't know but only stayed silent. "But my love... Why would you defend this piece of scrap?" Adam asked. "It's because she doesn't need to be treated like that! She's a fucking human like most of us Adam, plus I've seen her get treated wrong when Yang is doing her job as a butler, so I suggest you stop your childish games and move away from her."

Yang gently tugged at Blake's sleeve "It's ok. You don't have to defend me." She gave a fake smile to her. "If you say so..." The faunus spoke and glared at Adam while she moved her hand to hold Yang's arm and leading her away from him. Of course, the butler had different things in her mind. Why would Blake help her? Why would she help her if Yang had ignored her for a few days? Was it because she was nice? Because she was weak against Adam? Why?

"Hey... you ok?"

The blonde flinched at the sudden question and looked up at her "W-What was that?" She asked "I said if you are ok? You seem pretty lost in thought there, and... Did Adam do anything to you? It's like when you see him you stay silent- or well... Around me you do- " Blake replied with ears flat against her head. ×Or is it because of me?× She added to her thoughts

Silence

"Yang?"

At those words the blonde felt a shiver go down her spine to hear Blake's voice that called her name. She still stayed quiet and bit her lip gently not knowing what to say, she didn't want to hurt Blake by just interacting with her and Adam having to pick on them all the time. Yang simply smiled, fake of course and looked into her eyes "Nope, it's alright. Everything is ok" She stated and turned off to walk, she hoped Blake wouldn't follow but she did. "So.. do you still wanna meet up tonight? On the roof?" The faunus asked while glancing at her.

Yang thought for a moment before replying. Many thoughts on her mind but reluctantly thought of an answer, slightly worried about Adam spying on her but she honestly needed to settle things with Blake. She inhaled and nodded.

"Sure."
