You're Mine Now (Venom X Eddie)

Part 14: Jealousy

Author's Note: I know you guys want more Venom x Eddie, and I'm listening to all of you, promise. This chapter is here to establish some jealousy and sort of shake their relationship up a little bit, I promise tho we'll get to the romance soon!!

"Morning, Eddie!" Anne said, waking Eddie next to her.
"Hey, Annie... How'd you sleep?"

I SLEPT GREAT, thanks for asking...
Venom thought to himself.

"I slept alright... Haven't been next to you in while, though."
"Yeah, I know! So what ever happened to that Dr. Dan guy?" Eddie asked.
"It just didn't work out. He wanted a family, ya know, kids and all that. I just... I wasn't ready. I wasn't exactly over you, ya know..." She crawled over to him and laid on his stomach.
"I don't think I ever was." Eddie responded.
"Eddie... I missed you."
He smiled, and kissed her on the forehead.
"I missed you too."

They got dressed, and decided to go on a little date. "Starbucks sound good?" Eddie suggested.

STARBUCKS!? That little...

"Yeah, that actually sounds great."
They got their stuff together, and left.

"EDDIE?" Venom finally spoke to him.
"Hey, Venom. How've ya been?"
"DON'T FORGET ABOUT KASADY, EDDIE."
"I won't, Venom. Don't worry about it!"
"Okay..."
He wanted to tell Eddie how much he missed him. How much he missed the little daily squabbles they had. The little odd occurrences, their little conversations. Their bond was so strong at one point, but now? Now it was shit. It was all shit. Venom didn't hate Anne, Hell, he didn't even hate Eddie. He just wanted him back. He wanted Eddie to himself again. He sighed, knowing very well that that may never happen again.

Eddie sipped his coffee, thinking about Anne. It was like the spark was back, like it was a new relationship completely!
But Venom, he thought, Venom no doubt suffered from it.
He loved Anne, he always had. What he had with Venom was just... different.
He had developed a strong bond with Venom, and even wanted things for them at one point. He saw a future for them... But he knew, deep down, that it couldn't work. It could never work.

"Eddie!" Anne yelled. "The TV! Look at it!"
He turned his head immediately to see a reporter outside a crime scene, "Local family of three found dead in their quiet, suburban home on 344 Marbury Street. The police officer who arrived on the scene claimed he saw, quote, 'A small, bright-red haired man tearing apart the much larger man with only his bare hands. He had somewhat of a passion for the act; an odd zeal for the extremely malicious crime he was committing.' End quote. The officer was injured, and the criminal seemingly escaped. Authorities believe this man to be none other than Cletus Kasady, the escaped serial killer and convict. Further evidence to support this claim is that, when shown different pictures of possible suspects, the on-scene officer identified Kasady as the one who did it with a 99% assurance. Police are saying tha-"
"EDDIE! THIS IS IT! WE HAVE TO GO!"
"Venom... I can't go now. I'm... We're-"
"GODDAMMIT EDDIE, GET OVER YOURSELF! THIS MAY BE OUR ONLY CHANCE!"
"Venom, I-"
"NO! STOP THIS LOVEBIRD BULLSHIT! WE DIDN'T ESCAPE FOR HER! WE ESCAPED FOR HIM, EDDIE! KASADY! WE ESCAPED TO STOP HIM, AND I PLAN ON DOING JUST THAT!"
Eddie was silent.
"Don't make me take control, Eddie."
Eddie sighed, knowing full well that he wasn't going to win this. He grabbed his coat and walked out the door.
"Where are you going!?" Anne shouted, running after him.
"344 Marbury Street."
"What? Why?"
"Because...

We're going to catch a murderer."
