Chief maneuvers the van through the barren streets of the bright afternoon at the Han river, close to the Royal Mint Museum, where he will be able to be close to the action but not close enough to be caught.
His earpiece buzzed that made his ear tingle.
"Step A completed."
Chief could tell that is Leo's voice by the way it vibrated through the earpiece.
"And B?"
"We just started the next step."
"Good," a small smirk crepy by the corner of his mouth.
His endless worrying over his groups and their performance made him feel a bit relaxed.
Chief wished he could be there to see the operation with his own eyes and guide them as the leader he is, but he had to stay behind.
His job is to support his group from outside the walls of the Museum. Guess he can also say his job is just as important as them.
"How many hostages are there?"
"fourthy."
"And they are all working?"
"Not all extacly...not all of them are fit...or able at the moment."
He furrowed his brows. "What do yo mean at the moment?"
He can hear Mingi's breathing through the sudden silence. He must be somewhere quiet for him not to hear the guys who are usually loud and chaotic in the background.
"A hostage may have been injured during Plan A."
His heart did a flip. "Injured? How bad?"
"A gunshot to the shoulder."
Hongjoong took a deep breath in. He shook his head. Of course, they would break their very first rule.
"How did he get injured?"
"Please don't snitch on me but it was Wooyoung who shot her- for a reason."
"You know you can't injure a hostage regardless."
"She was escaping. And she was a worker in the building. We couldn't let her leave or that would be the end of us."
Chief was angry they would hurt someone when they specifically told them not to. But since that Mingi told them the reason, he was considering making Wooyoung punishments light.
"I'll deal with Wooyoung later. Don't tell him I know."
"Will do."
"Okay, well, I just wanted to check up on you guys."
"Cheif?"
"What is it?"
"We are going to be here for a while. Do you mind if you can get us supplies, food and maybe a doctor for the girl?"
