"Do we have everything?" Brandon asked me as I looked at the list of food and read over it before nodding my head yes.

He smiled briefly before we started moving from past the isles and going towards the long line of people who were checking out their personal food items.

We got in line behind a man who looked pretty old with grey hairs and wrinkles sitting on each side of his face beside his eyes. He seemed tired as he looked around at the people, the line not moving and neither were our feet.

Brandon looked at me tiredly before sighing, "cant this line go any faster?" He grumbled.

"It will we just have to be patient!" I said honestly because waiting would take a while but that was ok, I didn't mind.

We both took a fraction of a step forward in line as the man in front of us began gathering his things and moving upwards.

"How's Jayla?!" I asked as he smirked but I watched it slowly disappear as quick as it appeared.

"She's amazing."

"So you love her?..." I asked as the words unintentionally carelessly came out of my mouth. Brandon's eyes widened at the question as he looked at me clueless.

"L-love her?" He asked almost breathlessly.

"Well I don't know.." I admitted as we moved a bigger step forward in the line, the guy didn't think to grunt this time he just got his things and moved forward, "I don't know what love is. It was never actually experimented with on my planet. You find someone get them pregnant and there you have a family." I explained as Brandon's eyebrows raised.

"Wow. That's insane." He said gaping and pushing the hair on his head back while thinking, "Love..Well it's basically caring about someone more than yourself and putting their needs before yours."

"So like when you gave Zion the other side of your peanut butter and jelly sandwich!"

Brandon rolled his eyes with a throaty chuckle before he looked at me, "hell no!" He practically shouted as I giggled and then cleared my throat as if I didn't.

"How come?" I asked intrigued.

"That's just friendship. You can love someone as a friend and not love them.." he said before he mumbled,

"Well sexually.." he said in a hushed tone as I got what he was saying leaving my mouth in a 'O' shape trying to make sure I understood everything.

"So do you love me?!" I asked excitedly because no one had ever loved me before! I wanted to know the feeling of love, what it meant.

"Love..it takes time." Was all he said to me as I pouted and nodded anyways looking at my spot in the line. We were third away from being done before Brandon cursed under his breathe.

"What happened?"

"I forgot something." He said as he looked at the distance between us and the register and then sighing deeply as he looked back at me, "Stay here ok?" He asked as I gave him a thumbs up and he quickly paced down the isles.
