A/N: It's finally time for me to make my review that I've been wanting to do ever since the film came out.

This is my review of Godzilla: King of The Monsters.

Let's get started.

The Story.

The story wasn't this grand tour monster mash or epic heroes journey that some people may expect. But, a great story that they managed to do here being The idea of Godzilla having to face off with another alpha predator like him for the role as king of the monsters was a nice classic fighting for the throne type of story but in kind of an apocalyptic feel to it.

Tone.

As I said, the film is kinda more like an action packed apocalyptic type of film with some dark tones here and there with a little comedy. But not too much.

The Soundtrack.

One of my favorite things to come out of this movie is the soundtrack. They not only managed to bring back the original Akira Ikufube music from the Toho films, but, they managed to make some of their own music that was both enjoyable and astonishing to listen to and remember. Some of the music really gave the feel of the tone of the movie as well as just how terrifying or destructive some of the titans can truly be.

The Human Characters.

The human characters were better in this film than before. I'll first go over some of the returning characters in this film.

Admiral Stenz is the same as he was in the 2014 film. He has a sort of no-nonsense and serious demeanor to him, caring greatly for civilian lives. But, not being the the stereotypical depiction of military commanders/government agents in other movies. He still shows a great deal of respect to serizawa, but there are times where he will have to refuse serizawa's suggestions give the circumstances. In this film, he has to do the same here. Given how Dangerous Ghidorah was and the situation involving godzilla, he had no choice to but use the oxygen destroyer on the two titans in an attempt to kill them. However, it failed to kill the two.

Dr. Vivienne Graham is her same self as she was in the 2014 film, someone who looked up to Serizawa as a father figure and was one of the two who understood the titans and their godly powers and strength. She didn't last long within the film as during Godzilla's first battle, Ghidorah devours her.

(And I didn't even see it coming).

Ishirō Serizawa is now a lot more respected figure in the world as governments look to him as the leading authority on the Titans. However,  he still deals with the problem being what the governments wish to intend on doing about Godzilla and any other titans after the 2014 event. And it wouldn't help that he was having to deal with an echo-terrorist who was trying to awaken the titans. After Monster Zero was release, Serizawa had grieved over the loss over the Vivienne as he noticed her brilliance and she was someone who's been close to him for years during the time. Some moments such as when it's discovered what ghidorah was, Serizawa showed hate towards the creature and called it a False King. And after finding out that Godzilla had survived the oxygen destroyer, he was willing to sacrifice himself in order to set off the bomb and fully restore godzilla's strength. During his last moments, Serizawa removed his helmet, approached Godzilla, placed a hand on the titan and said his goodbyes to the one being he's shown so much respect to and considered an old friend.
