If only I hadn't seen you

My life would be simple

My focus on myself

Instead of your cute dimples.

The way your eyes squint when you smile

Makes my heart run a mile

I'm lost at sea

When I hear your voice; so deep

I don't know much about you

And you don't know much about me

If only I had the confidence

I could turn this "I" into a "We".

Looking at a picture of you

Makes my day

But if I'm thinking realistically

You don't feel the same way

And that just hurts me

In the worst possible way...
