This is my first time actually attempting to make a decent story, let alone one that isn't retarded like my previous attempts, updates will be slow. This story is more of an experiment. This story was inspired by many reincarnation story's I've read on here. (So far I haven't found any bad ones) anyway let's get on with it shall we? Again I don't own ANY OF THE PICTURES

My name is Vivian. I live in... well I should say I used to live in a not that great of an apartment, but it worked, kinda. My life was, well, below average, but it wasn't really that bad

I was a 17 year old girl that lived alone and was more of a gamer than anything else, I loved to read, and I had zero friends. Let me rephrase that, I had ZERO friends, not even the teachers liked me back when I still attended school. Though I guess that's a good thing since no one paid attention to me and pretended I didn't exist at all, which is great as I got to be left alone most of the time

Every few weeks, I'd walk to the store to acquire a new book to read or sometimes even buy a game, if there was one that piqued my interest

But one day, I was walking to the store, it was early in the morning so the store would open in an hour, and if I got there early I could be there before it got busy. On my way there I noticed a small fox in the middle of the road, just sitting there, looking around slowly, staring off into nothingness, until it noticed me a moment later

'What in the name of carnation is a fox doing in the city? Foxes aren't supposed to be in the city! Well, I'm closer to the countryside than the city but still! And the fox is in the road! Just sitting there! Staring at me!'

I then decided to do the most sensible thing, which was to get it out of the road. So I went and picked the cute little fox up, the fox just watched me approach it and didn't even seem to care about my presence. I lifted it up and gently held it against my chest, to both stop it from potentially escaping my grasp and getting hurt, but also to try and keep it calm

"What are you doing sitting in the road? That's not safe at all!" the fox only stared at me silently. It was weird, the fox was perfectly calm, and so indifferent yet so... at peace I guess?

"Well, let's get you to safety"

I started turning around but as I did, I saw the infamous truck-san coming right at me, as if it was aiming for me! *Sigh* of course it was, so cliché.

For a second I was frozen, unable to register what I was seeing, as I stared blankly at the vehicle rapidly approaching me. I quickly snapped out of it and tried to jump out of the way, but it was already too late, I didn't have enough time to move away as the truck hit me. Thankfully the fox was fine as it managed to leap away at the last second. But as for me, I was now lying in the road, unable to move as my entire body was numb. I couldn't move at all, or even feel anything, no pain or anything

Since it was still very early in the morning, no one was around to witness my death, nor was there anyone for as far as the eye could see. The truck was a runaway because I remember not seeing anyone at the wheel, which would also make sense as to why the truck was so quiet, but even then, how did I not notice it? Shouldn't it have made some noise? And why was it even there in the first place?

'So... this is how I die huh? Getting hit by a truck while moving a fox off the road. Funny, death by a speeding unmanned vehicle on a flat road. A flat road!!'

After a few moments, darkness slowly started to surround me. But as the darkness was growing, I caught sight of the fox walking up to me. It lay down a short distance from my face, and stared at me with its cosmic eyes
