Shine had left over a month ago and that was really the last time I had seen her. I knew what I told her really broke her heart especially because I kept it a secret and made her think she was the fault of our divorce. She still was on Instagram and from the looks she made up with her mom and sister which was great for her.

Everybody was speculating that we broke up again and didn't shy away from asking under our pictures. We both never answered but I still showed her love time to time "You know where she at bro so stop sulking and get her man" Melli said. "Bro she took off for a reason I hurt her. I feel like she really needs this time for herself then I'll try again" She shook her head.

"This ain't a fairytale or 13 wishes David you guys just rekindled after years. Who's not saying it'll take another set of years." I knew Melli was somewhat right but it's not like Shine was answering my calls or reading my texts. "Let's go because if I have to see you silk anymore I'm decking you in your chest."

I hadn't been to Harlem in a minute but it still felt like home. "This the address she told me it look real boring if you ask me" As if on Que Shine walked out with a new haircut and a body that I missed. I jumped out and I could tell she wasn't expecting it "David Brewster I haven't seen you in years. All I have to say is my daughter is over you and there's no coming back." Her mother was a pain in my ass after she switched how she felt on me.

"I didn't marry you or even came to talk to you, I'm here for your daughter no matter the circumstance." She twisted her mouth before looking at Shine. "Mom calm down I need to hear him out even if you hate him" Her mom stepped back but never went back inside. "Look I know I fucked up and I hurt you even more but it's been a month Shine, I honestly couldn't even fathom telling you that" I looked at her before she let out a long sigh.

She stepped down the stairs and stopped at the last one "David I'm sorry" Her mom started going crazy at those three words. "I'm done Shine you've picked this boy one too many times over family. Don't you ever show your face over here or even bother try to contact us" She stormed inside.

"What are you sorry about it was my fault for everything. Leaving you in the dark and having you think it was your fault" I grabbed her hand rubbing the back of it slowly. "The week our divorce finalized I was sick to my stomach. Couldn't even hold anything down and I stayed in our house crying every day. Seeing our pictures and memories hurt me so bad I honestly couldn't take it anymore. Then the day our divorce was finalized and you were on a flight back to New York, I had a miscarriage."

We both had our secrets and boy if I had known what she was going through before I left. Trust and believe I never would of left her side "I'm sorry your just always left in the dark to deal with the hardest shit ever. If I had stayed back we'd probably be parents right now or something else."

"We have to figure this shit out Shine honestly, We got to be open more and y'all this shit out. At this rate we not going anywhere because it's always been You Shine, And it'll always be you" I grabbed her pulling her into me. "This has been a long month away from you and hearing my mother criticize my decisions everyday. I love you David and I always have but we're New after this" We went back to our house.

I dragged her to the backyard where it was decked out in roses and candles. Melli and Manny sat with smiles on there face holding a will you marry me again sign. "Oh shit this is so fancy" She looked at me laughing. "I knew I wanted to re marry your ass way back in Miami. You don't need any more lame ass athletes or trash ass best friends when you got everything right here."

I showed her the new and improved ring with an engraved of our first wedding date "You made of money man that shit gleaming all the way over here" I placed it on her finger. "This wedding it about to be way bigger then the first" She took a picture posting it on Instagram. Seconds later the media was reposting and following up of The Brewster's coming again.
