Your POV:

The Purple Army was known for how many wars it fought against the Red Army. You, a soldier in the Purple Army, always wondered why. The Purple Army had alliances with the Green Army and the Blue Army, and you heard that it was because of the leaders' friendship. Then again, everyone was scared of the Purple Leader. People always talked about how cold and ruthless he was, and that they'd avoid him when he's angry. This made you wonder who your leader really was, and you decided to investigate.

You left your assigned room, walking down the hallway you see everyday. You passed by other soldiers as you walked, soon reaching the Purple Leader's office. Now, you felt terrified. 'What if he really is ruthless? What if he yells at me for wasting his time?' You couldn't turn back now.

You gently knocked on the door and heard a bit of shuffling from inside. After a bit, the door opened. You looked up at him, surprised by how tall he was. He was wearing something casual, a white shirt and some jeans. He was also wearing a purple sweater, which was unzipped for some reason. "U-uhm, hi! I just... wanted to meet you..." You stammered. The Purple Leader shrugged. "Okay. Wanna come inside?" He stepped aside to let you enter, and you walked in.

His office was very tidy, a pile of papers on his desk. There was a small window that showed a view of the base's entrance. He shut the door and you sat in the chair in front of his desk. He went over to you and sat at his desk, a small smile on his face. "...How's your day?" You asked, not knowing what to say. "Pretty good, I guess. How's yours?" "I'm having a good day too." You both went silent for a short while.

"Wow... you're a lot more... carefree than I thought you were." You said. The Purple Leader chuckled. "That's a normal response I get from people. You guys are great at spreading rumors." He replied.

It made you feel bad for him. It would suck if you were chill and cool, but everyone said that you were a psycho and a murderer. Well, he does have an army that kills many people, but that doesn't mean that you can hate him for no reason. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of armies around the world. To hate a selected few for no reason isn't fair.

"I'm... sorry..." He cocked a brow. "Why? You didn't do anything." "I know, but... you're treated so... wrongly." He crossed his arms and set them down on his desk, seeming intrigued. "Elaborate?" "Y'know how everyone says bad things about you? That's just... cruel. You're so nice in person..." The Purple Leader was a bit stunned by what you had to say.

"Soldier, what's your name?" "I'm Y/N! Can I know yours?" The Purple Leader hesitated before nodding. "If you tell anyone, I'll kill you. Literally. My real name's... uh... why can't I spit it out...?" "Take your time, sir." "Eww. Don't call me that. Alright, call me Matt." "Matt? Hmm, I guessed wrong." "What did you think my name is?" "I dunno, actually." You and Matt laughed, and Matt rolled his eyes.

"You're a weird one, Y/N." For some reason, your cheeks turned a bit pink when he said your name. "Thanks! I must've gotten it from my parents." Matt covered his mouth. "Pffft- nice one." "You're the nice one." "No, I meant- you know what I meant." You smirked mischievously and relaxed, feeling a bit calmer now that you were both joking around.

"Do I?" "Yes, you know exactly what I mean." "Mean? No, you're nice." "Y/N, why are you like this?" "I'm unsure, to be honest." You both laughed again, the ginger slamming his fists onto his desk.

You both continued to joke around and chatter for hours and hours on end, eventually leaving his office to get some food at the cafeteria. Once you both got your food, you went back to his office. As you and him ate, you paused to talk a bit. Of course, you both made sure you swallowed your food before speaking. If not, that would be disgusting.

"If I ever hear anyone talk shit about you, I'll put them in their place." You vowed, frowning. Matt grinned. "Cool. Though, I probably shouldn't join you as you do that. I might end up giving proof to the rumors." He joked, earning a giggle from you. "Yeah, I suppose so."

You looked out of the window, seeing that it was starting to get dark out. You'd spent the entire afternoon with the Purple Leader.

"Woah, look at that." You muttered. Matt turned his head and looked out, also noticing how dark it was getting. "...Oh." You both finished your food and Matt offered to return the trays you both used. You accepted and went to the door of his office.

"Well, I should go to bed." "Aww, already?" "Yeah. It was fun to hang out with you, though!" "Same to you." You both went silent again and you opened the door. You turned to look at Matt again, who seemed a bit disappointed. "Don't worry, I'll be back! I'll meet you in here tomorrow morning!" He nodded. "Okay. I'll be awake." You smiled and left the room. "Bye!" "Bye, Y/N."

You shut the door and headed back to your assigned room. When you got there, you changed out of your uniform and put some pajamas on. You calmly walked to your bed and jumped onto it, landing face-first onto the bed. You rolled onto your side, lazily tugging the blanket onto yourself.

You were planning on falling asleep, but you couldn't. You just wanted to stay with Matt for a while longer. 'I could've stayed and had some tea or something... we could've talked for a bit longer...' You ended up staying awake until 2 in the morning, which is when you finally fell asleep.
