Shadow looked pretty pissed off when I said that Mephiles had hurt me. He let out a loud growl, signalling he was about to go lunatic mode. He looked even more cheesed off than the time when Eggman - or my adoptive father - found a skunk in his bed and blamed Cubot for it. It was hilarious and I had the privilege of spanking Cubot with a metal chancla. That really was fun, especially when Orbot confessed everything.... Ah, good times....

"Lady (Y/n)."

I looked up at Shadow. "What is it,Shadow?"

"This will all be over soon." He replied softly.

"Promise?"

"Promise!"

"Maybe now you can get me out of this cell?" I asked sarcastically. "I've been trapped in here for ages!"

"It hasn't even been a week!" Shadow laughed.

"Says the one who didn't go to school." I smirked.

"I don't think you went to school either,dunce." Shadow responded.

"What did you just say,baka?!" I yelled.

"You heard me!"

"Are you sure about that?"

Shadow smiled a little. "I am perfectly sure,little madam. If your parents could see you now, they'd treat you like a little girl. Giving you candy,toys and dressing you up in dinky little dresses!"

"I don't even know where my parents are," I huffed.

"They're somewhat here."

I rolled my eyes. "That really helps..."

"What am I going to do with you..."

"Maybe take me on a date?" I joked.

That little joke made Shadow blush so red,he looked like a tomato.

"What's the matter? Knight in shining armour's tongue got tied?"

"That's not funny,(Y/n)." Shadow said sternly. "I don't take those kinds of jokes very well. Believe me,a close friend did that once and she.. uh.... Passed on 2 hours straight after."

"Oh,Shadow..." I gasped. "I'm sorry about that.."

Shadow shrugged. "It's alright,milady.. What happened is what happened. Even if I turn back time,it wouldn't erase what happened to Maria."

"Was that her name?" I asked. "Maria?"

"Yes. Maria Robotnik."

"SHE WAS A ROBOTNIK!?" I shrieked.

"yes. Thinking about it,you were adopted by Eggman, right? Eggo and Maria are cousins which means that you're technically her second cousin."

I was speechless and I didn't have anything to say except, "Wow".

We were silent for a couple of moments then I finally spoke to break the awkward silence.

"Well then,how about you put that incident behind you and focus on the future?" I suggested.

Shadow nodded. "Yes,I will."

I smiled and stood up. "Glad to hear it. NOW BE A GENTLEMAN AND GET ME OUTTA HERE!"

Shadow just smirked and kicked the door down.

I have a feeling Mephiles is gonna be more scary than I imagined....
