Do you know why the stars hid away.
Why they once used to shine for us,
But now they run away: upset. It's cause of us,
Us who forgot to thank them for lighting our ways,
Finding us and leading us through ...But when we found our own light,
They lost their job
A job which was paid by our reliefWhich they happily accepted.
So once again tonight
When the street lights awaken
They shy away into nothingSo the story goes on,
As the stars,
Once bright,
But no more-written when I wanted to write something from the top of my head. But guess what: they were on top of my head and up in the sky.
