Our lives fill up with pain
That love's words cannot mend
How do we walk away?
And stroll a different path
When words of love still stay
No longer feel love's wrath
How can our love stay strong?
When different paths we take
When no one has done wrong
Our chains of love must break
How do we break love's chain?
Snap links that will not bend
And leave behind love's pain
So battered hearts can mend
