When Cross woke up, he felt a little different to the environment he usually wake up to which is his own room in Night's Hideout. He rubbed his eye sockets before popping some of the joints from being stiff. He wore his shoes and went outside. When he stepped to the hallway, Ink also got out his room. Ink looked cheerfully at him and smiled. "Morning, Cross."

"What time is it?" Cross asked, everything seemed quiet and it's still dark or at least darker than the normal. Ink looked at the wall clock he made by the end of the hall near his and Cross' rooms. "It's 7:20 in the morning, it's mine and Blue's turn to cook breakfast." Cross nodded but stopped.

"You're about to? Because I think I smell something cooking?"

In the kitchen however, Dream and Night were preparing breakfast. Dream set down the two baked pies on the table. He picked up a slice and put it on a plate before giving it to Night.

Night stared at it before taking a bite. He couldn't help smiling a bit and letting out some words. "Still the same old taste." Dream giggled.

"You can't say that unless you've already eaten my own pie before, silly."

Night looked away. "W-well... I mean, I remembered someone that has this same taste in his pie." Dream just nodded.

There was silence and the more it lengthens, the more it's getting awkward.
"Are you still going to take Cross...?"

Dream asked with a sad look while looking at Night. Night looked at him and went back to the pie.

"Unfortunately, yes. He made a deal... you can come with me if you want."

Night said and looked back at Dream who was reconsidering things probably.

"I... really want to but... my friends are here... I don't want to leave them too. I'm sorry."

Dream said with a regretful tone. Night wave it off.

"It's okay, we might visit on 'holidays' or special occasions."

Since they lived in a supposed to be orphanage, they adapted the different human occasions or holidays that they too like to enjoy. Dream was about to speak but was cut off when Ink and Cross came running to the dining hall.

"It's mine and blue's turn to cook, Dream. You don't need to do that." Ink panted as he looked at Dream and surprisingly with Night. Cross was surprise because of the outburst yesterday, he thought those two are not in a good shape. Guess like Chara was right.

"Well, I thought that the guests maybe want to eat something I cook and Night also consider the same."

Dream said with a shy voice. Night just nodded and finished the plate before ushering them to sit down while he go and get the others.

Once Night was out of sight, Ink looked at Dream. "What's up with you two?" Ink asked referring to Night and Dream. Cross was also looking at him with curiosity.

"Nothing, he just apologized about what happened yesterday and he decided to get along with me I guess." Dream said with a shrug.
