"I'm Gabriel."

"What? The archangel  Gabriel?"

He chuckled, but his voice betrayed his nervousness as he stopped pacing around me. "Archangel?! Someone's a fan of the Bible. I'm sorry to disappoint you, cupcake, but I'm no angel." He motioned for his friends to lower their guns, "Boys, why don't we do this another time?"

"But Gabriel, who is-" one of the men began, but Gabriel cut him off with a wave of his hand, "Ah, no questions. This doesn't concern any of you gentlemen." They made their way to the elevators, clearly unhappy. The girls in swimsuits had fled when I appeared, so now it was just Gabriel and I. "No angel, huh?" I chuckled. Gabriel smiled, "Hey, I've been trying to lay low ever since my 'death.'" I glanced over the huge, expensive-looking penthouse, "Ah, I see. Laying low."

He smirked, "Well, you know. This is supposed to be a vacation. I've always wanted to own a club, so why not? Although the company isn't exactly... entertaining." He gestured to the abandoned poker cards and liquor glasses that sat on the table where his friends had been sitting. I nodded, then stuck out my hand for the archangel to shake. "I'm (y/n)... Winchester" I said hesitantly. He took my hand and shook it, "Want a drink?" he offered, raising his wine glass slightly.

I shook my head, confused. "Why... are you so relaxed. I'm a Winchester, I show up at your club with the rings... why didn't you have your buddies shoot me?" He laughed, "No, no. Actually, I'm intrigued. I didn't think anyone had the stones to come up to my penthouse like this. But, I don't think I was your target, or else you would've used that on me already." He gestured to the Four Horsemen's rings in my hand. "Right," I said, awkwardly shoving them into my pocket, "those were for someone else."

"Ooh, let me guess, my brother Lucy?" he smiled. "I-I... no I never said-" I stammered. I knew Gabriel and Lucifer didn't exactly have the best relationship, but I didn't know how on-board Gabriel would be with the whole plan to send Lucifer to hell thing. "Relax, I'd be more than happy with you sending him to the cage. Some more time-out time is what he needs."

I snorted in contempt, "Yeah, tell me about it." "So," Gabriel began, walking over to sit on his 'throne' and motioning for me to sit next to him, "how did you find me?" I told him about the murder, the guy with his eyes burned out and the cryptic message. "Was that you?" I asked, disappointed that my gut feeling about the murder had only been half right. "Yeah, that guy was a snake. He sucked up to me and then tried to rob me, you can guess how that went."

"So, you've become very powerful, I see. I didn't peg you as the type, from what Sam and Dean told me." Gabriel sighed, "Yeah, it's really so that people will stay away from me. The cops dropped the case of the snake's murder because they knew what I could do to them, for the most part people leave me alone." I nodded, understanding why he would want to be left alone after all he'd been through with his family. Suddenly, I had an idea. "You know what, I think I will have that drink now." I said, pouring myself some wine and pouring Gabriel a glassful. He didn't seem to mind, and began sipping as I talked, "Well, as you know, I'm trying to find your brother." He nodded. "Well, the dead guy was the only lead I've had since he escaped the cage. So, I'd really be back where I started. But, there's you. You have powers, and I was thinking that maybe you could use them to locate Lucifer. In return, I won't tell Sam and Dean that you're alive."

Gabriel snorted, "I could just kill you right now, rather than have a loose end." I rolled my eyes, "Sure, but then Sam and Dean would come poking around, and you don't wanna be on their badside. And trust me, you don't want Lucifer running around, doing God-knows-what. It's better for you to have him locked up in the cage." The archangel hesitated, swirling his glass in thought. "You're right about that, cupcake, but don't think those Winchester boys intimidate me. I killed Dean, like, a hundred times in one day. So don't think it's because of them."

"Don't think what's because of them?" I asked. He cleared his throat, looking uncertainly at the floor. Then he raised his eyes to mine and mumbled, "I'll help you find my brother."
