Ray closed his book and watched the three 11 year olds run into the forest. Emma Norman and y/n.
[Flashback]
"There may not be any rope"
Emma spoke. Y/n yawned. Norman smiled turning his head slightly at the two girls.
"Yeah because it's not something necessary in our daily lives here."
Norman rummaged through the stuff as you and emma kept watch.
"Found it!"
[Flashback end]
You all took out the table clothes put of your shirts. Norman passed them up to Emma as she put them in the hole of the tree. She jumped down and y/n yawned again.
"Okay the hard part remains "
Norman said turning to you and emma.
"Yeah"
Both you and emma sighed. Norman started walking and emma caught up with him as you stayed put thinking.
"Hey norman! I think it would be okay to tell ray"
Emma suggested. Norman thought out loud.
"Ray wouldn't panic. And because he knows a lot he's good with machines. He would be a asset to our plan."
Norman concluded.
"I'll talk to ray. Emma, y/n why don't you go back for now and-"
Ray was sitting on a rock.
"It's fine, you can tell me now"
You looked at him and yawned. He walked up to Emma and norman.
"Ray?!"
They yelled in suprise. He rested his back on a tree.
"Sorry I followed you guys"
Emma screeched and Norman chuckled. You yawned once more sighing. Your always tired. No matter how much sleep you get. Ray grabbed Emma and norman in a head lock.
"It's been bugging me, so I thought I should ask. What happened at the gate? You all were acting so weird and you came empty handed even thought y/n said "we didn't make it" "
Norman slipped out a "you're so sharp". You giggled with tired eyes.
"So of course something happened give it up"
He finished. You smiled.
"I'll tell you just let them go before you kill emma"
The two were set free and emma coughed.

Ray thought out loud.
"Demons, a farm, mom is the enemy?"
He looked up.
"Isn't that seriously bad? Oh! That explains the grated windows!"
