Hey! Sorry I didn't update on Friday like I said! My parents took us on ANOTHER camping trip before I could. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Travis's POV

Zane sat on the couch while I dug through his movies.

"What do you want to watch?" I ask him.

"Is The Shining still in there?" he asks.

Sure enough, the popular horror movie is right on top. I take it out and put the disc into the player.

One hour later

I fell asleep on Zane.

I start to sit up and I feel strong hands shove me back down.

Zane is standing over me, his face a mixture of fear and anger.

"Hello Zane," a voice says from the doorway. "Let's finish what we started on that cannon."

"Garroth, you're doing it again!" Zane shouts.

I hear someone step forward, and jump up in front of Zane.

Garroth is standing there, his eyes are bright green again.

You're weakening Travis.

No! Not right now!

I try and ignore the pain as Garroth jumps at me. I grab his wrists and kick him in the gut.

"Garroth, enough!" I shout, kicking him away.

He grabs his head and groans. He looks up at me and I notice that his eyes keep flashing from green to their normal aquamarine.

"Zane....I'm sorry....." he says, sounding sad and worried.

A second later his eyes are bright green again. He grabs the knife Zane had earlier off the floor and stands up.

"Let's finish this," he says.

You don't stand a chance.

I scream and grab my head. Garroth shoves me out of the way and lunges for Zane.

Zane's POV

I watch Travis fall over, screaming and grabbing his head. Garroth lunges for me. I grab the hand with the knife and tilt the blade away from me. keeping one hand on Garroth's wrist, I hug him.

"Fight it Garroth. You're stronger than this," I whisper. Garroth's eyes flicker, and I feel the knife pierce my arm.

"You've got this, big brother."

He gasps and his eyes change back to their normal color. His eyes fill with tears and he drops the knife. With his other hand, he hugs me back.

"Zane.....I'm so sorry....." he says, hugging me tighter.

"It's fine. I know you couldn't help it. That potion left permanent effects on you, and it's not your fault."

After Garroth leaves, (thankfully not noticing my other injuries), I bend over next to Travis. My arm is bleeding from Garroth stabbing me, but I didn't care. I reached toward Travis, and his eyes went wide.

Travis's POV

Zane reaches toward me with his bloody arm.

"No!" I shout. I reach out to grab his arm and blood coats my hand.

"No...nononono," I mutter, trying to stand up.

That blood smells delicious Travis.

I fall back onto the floor.

"Travis, is it him again?!" Zane asks worriedly.

He's already lost so much blood. Just spill a little more.

"Zane, get out," I pant, feeling my eyes flicker.

Zane shakes his head. "I promised to help you."

"You can help me by getting out!" I snap.

Pick up the knife Travis. Get rid of that anger.

I pick up the knife.

"Zane....run," I say.

Zane stares at me.

"Please...." I say.

Garroth made you angry. Take it out on Zane. He wouldn't mind.

I hold the knife up.

"Travis!" Zane shouts, backing away.

"Zane....please...." tears start streaming down my face. "Go. I don't want-"

I'm cut of by my own scream. I drop the knife and grab my head. The blood smells stronger.

You'll never beat me Travis. You're weak. I control you.

I feel arms around me. I shove Zane away from me.

"Get. Out. Now."

Zane finally understands and backs up across the room.

I scream again.

Just give in Travis. It would be so much easier.

I stare at Zane's face.

"No."

I didn't realize I had said anything until Zane reacted.

"You can fight him Travis!" he shouts.

Don't listen to him. You can't fight me. He's broken. He doesn't understand.

"Travis, You're stronger than him!"

Zane's right. I've fought him for years.

And I can fight him again.

I scream and the pain goes away. Then my head hits the ground and everything goes black.
