[Maestro wakes up and feels Misty and Leaf lying on top of him. The sun has begun to rise]
Maestro: Okay. It's time to wake up!
Misty/Leaf: Five more minutes.
Maestro: I won't make breakfast if we don't get up.
[The girls slowly rise. Ash still lies on the ground. Maestro walks over]
Maestro: Ash, it's time. You can't become Pokemon master if you stay asleep.
Ash: It's too early.
Maestro: Fine. Then I'll just win all of the badges and then leave you behind.
[Ash snaps awake]
Ash: DON'T LEAVE ME!
Maestro: Much better. Anyway, time for breakfast.
[After breakfast, the three get set to walk again]
Maestro: Okay. It's time to...
[Maestro freezes]
Leaf: What's wrong?
Maestro: I can feel it. They're around here. We've gone a whole chapter with them not showing up.
Ash: Who showing up?
[Music plays]
Jessie: Prepare for trouble!
James: And make it...
Maestro: NO! NO! NO! WE'RE NOT DOING THAT!
Jessie: How are dare you interrupt!
Maestro: I'm sure that the readers don't want to see your dialogue every chapter.
[Everyone stares at Maestro]
Maestro: If they can break the 4th wall then so can I! I'm the protag after all!
Jessie: Very well. Since you're so cute, I'll let it slide this time.
Misty/Leaf: Now hang on!
Jessie: Anyway, our goal is the same. We're taking that Pikachu!
[Ash looks at Maestro]
Maestro: I handled them the last couple of times. It's your turn.
Ash: Fine. Cateprie, I choose you!
[Team rocket sends out Koffing and Ekans]
Ash: Cateprie, use STRING SHOT! and cover them up!
