The rest of the world
just needs to go away
for a little while. You
roll over and hug me
close to your chest and
kiss my forhead softly.
I open my eyes to see
your moss green eyes
and your shaggy blonde
hair. You ask me, "Can we
wait for five more minutes?"
I respond with,
"Lets."
Normally I wouldn't
comply with your
request. But I am so
comfortable here with
the smell of your
shampoo filling my
nose. Whatever needs
doing can be done
later today or even
tomorrow. Even though
that might not be fair or
Just.
But let's see how much
I care. Oh but wait! I
have no worries or
cares. I left them
beside your door to
Lay.
I only care about
being in your strong
arms. Nothing else.
I've never been so
at peace as I am
right now. I wouldn't
want to be anywhere
but right
Here.

The Staggered Poems
PoetryIMPORTANT READ THIS TO UNDERSTAND: This is a series of poems that I have written in a form that I call Staggered. This means that the title and the words kicked out to the side and bolded make a sentence that summarizes the whole poem.
