Chapter 28 | The Sad Truth

Bakugou's mother was unstable, always has been, but she wasn't always like this. Ever since Bakugou's father abandoned the two when he was only 3 she became cold and distant towards her son. She started drinking so she would abuse him and blame him for his reason for leaving.

On Bakugou's 9th birthday, she suddenly had a change of heart. She started buying him things like toys, games, expensive clothes; it was all too new to him. Bakugou accepted them, of course, he didn't want her to get angry with him, but part of him wanted closure.

Before he turned 9. He did hate his mother. After she would drink she'd come into his room just to beat me, constantly putting her anger out on him, and it would always piss him off, but he couldn't say or do anything about it. So he wrote in his notebook about all the things she would do to him and she found it one day.

Things started to get weird on his 13th birthday. She would usually take him shopping and him buy whatever he wanted, but not this time. She had a different plan in mind. She had a candlelit dinner waiting for him in their living room. The scenery was way more romantic rather than a birthday theme.

That's when Bakugou noticed she was beginning to have an unstable relationship with him. His mother could not take in the fact that his father was gone and was never coming back. She knew this but refused to accept it. Bakugou share most of my features from his mother: hair, eyes, personality; most of her genetics.

But he also shared his fathers. He was the only one who still reminded her of him. She missed him; she wanted him back, so she stopped seeing Bakugou as her som for a long time.

A very long time.

"Patient 7, room 508, Bakugou, Mitsuki; Am I correct?"

It's been three months since that attack at the training camp. The heroes went out searching for Mitsuki, Dabi, and Kendo. They were only able to retrieve Mitsuki and Kendo, Dabi was still on the run. Mitsuki was admitted into a Psychiatric Hospital. Bakugou told them how she was unstable and needed to seek help immediately.

Kendo, on the other hand, lived; she was on the brink of death but her injuries weren't futile. She suffered several broken bones, fractured neck, head trauma, bruises to the neck, and a broken wrist. She was as good as dead if she didn't get the treatment that she did. After her recovery, she was immediately transferred to a correctional facility along with you.

Kendo; for the destruction of property, putting peoples lives in danger and treachery to UA high.

You, however, was sent to a different facility, a more advanced facility. You was sent for attempted murder and doing pro hero work without a license. As much as Bakugou wanted to help fight your case and plead it was self-defense, but it wasn't.

Bakugou nodded his head to the lady telling her that was the correct person. She understood and handed him his visitor badge. Bakugou at first didn't want to show his face here but Kirishima forced him. Bakugou sighed as he took the badge and put it on. He dug his hand deep into his pocket as he slowly walked to her room.

Room 508.

Bakugou knocked before coming in and there she was. She looked completely blank and lost. He placed the flowers down next to her and closed the door and leaned on it. She looked at him and smiled, tears falling from her face.
