Ocean waved to me from a bench in the park. Snowflakes were drifting everywhere.
"Amethyst!"
I ran to him and sat opposite him.
"Hey!" I said.
Ocean and I have been on a few dates and we have bonded really well. The first date Oceane Jewel was supervising. She must think I'm alright, as I've caught her sort-of smiling if Ocean and I walk the school halls hand in hand. She even acknowledges me in class sometimes. That's more than most people get from her.
Ocean and I talked for a while, just as the snow was getting thick on the ground.
We stared at each other for a moment, then dashed to the snow. We made a snowman (who was eventually destroyed by snowballs), made snow angels and more.
Eventually we headed to Ocean's house, and nobody was home. We had the fire going and we made hot chocolate. I sat on the couch with a blanket as Ocean got marshmallows from the cupboard.
In this moment I realised- the dance is tomorrow. Adagio and Sonata are coming in a few days. I'll either leave them, or... Ocean.
