background; mordred is the child of arturia pendragon and her half-sister morgan le fay by use of homunculi, magic and genetics, she is a homunculus and therefore ages quicker than most, at a young age, mordred was manipulated and mentally tortured by morgan, eventually, mordred became a knight of the round table, dutifully serving arturia as a knight, but that was before she found out about her heritage, morgan came to her one day and told mordred that she was king arthur's child, and mordred, who hero worshipped king arthur, was overjoyed.
at least, that was until arthur had rejected the idea of mordred being his/her child, see, this was when arturia was being a cold-hearted king without emotions, mordred had been angry then at being rejected as a child and swore to destroy everything that arturia held dear.

when arturia left camelot with lancelot, mordred performed a coup and seized the throne, splitting the knights of round table in two.
when arturia returned to camelot, it was a battlefield, and the kingdom was destroyed, and thus, the battle at camlann, mordred was then killed by her father's spearbut not before mordred landed a lethal strike to her father.
