⤚ Missing ⤙

Araya

THE picture of Akiya was a recent one and the only good one we could find. It was at the fair, the night we discovered Storm was a werewolf which felt like such a long time ago when in reality it was only a few months ago.

It cropped out Storm and I but my hand was evident on his shoulder. He had a frown slowly turning into an irritated smile. Almost a smug smirk and it looked good on him. But the picture brought only dull throbs of pain and sadness coursing throughout my body.

Beneath the picture was all of the information on the sheets we had printed out. Nightshade had been the one to help us with it. But she said nothing the entire time no doubt remembering when she had gone missing. I felt bad for her but it was overwhelmed by the loss of Akiya.

Name: Akiya.
Age: 16
Ethnicity: Japanese
Eye color: Brown
Hair color: Black
Height: 5'9

It was everything we could come up with so far as well where he was last seen. We found his civic outside the grocery store with the grocery bags having spilt from the car and spew everywhere across the ground.

Due to the situation of how it was done it was right now considered a kidnapping of some sort since there was a sign of struggle. But I didn't like what they were saying about it. And since he was just some unknown Japanese kid who wasn't from a rich family he wasn't priority.

It was a downfall to most towns, rich kids were considered first and there happened to be a rich kid missing so they were considered a more important case which infuriated me to no end. My brother was missing and some rich druggie kid was more important.

Willows was a good town full of friendly people but it happened to be a wealthy town and the crime rate wasn't high. The only missing kids were runaways besides Nightshade and now Akiya. And it settled it that moment. My brother really was missing. And this wasn't some sort of cruel joke. He was missing.

There was about seventy missing flyer copies that we had printed to hang up in town and a phone number to call. Daiki was next to me. "He's okay Araya, he's a kitsune, he probably did some damage to them in the process. And is fighting his way out." Daiki assured me.

But something was off about it. There was a sign of struggle but not that supernatural type, no marks of lightening or anything. Just the groceries everywhere and a bit of blood where he no doubt hit his head while being knocked out, it wasn't much though.

But it became obvious his captor(s) might be of the supernatural degree and I didn't like it. What could want to capture Akiya. . . the correct way who would want to capture Akiya. Akiya kept to himself and didn't bother anyone and we only had been dealing with the ghost riders.

And Nightshade sent them off and Storm said his scent was still there. "But it cuts off, but not in the supernatural way, but the type of he was thrown in a car type of way." Storm had already tried to track the scent of Akiya down to help but it was useless.

His scent cut off on a road showing whoever kidnapped him had a car and put him in it and sped off. I shook my head. "You want to come hang the fliers around with me?" I asked Daiki who nodded. Without Akiya we had to walk. . .

The first place we hit up was the local bakery. The shop owner was Korean and has a half Korean half Japanese grandson who helped her run the bakery. The lady was old. And she happily let me hang the fliers before Daiki bought some rice cakes for us to eat.

"I hope you find your brother dear." She told us as we left and I thanked her. We ate the rice cakes as we made our way through town. Soon the town had pictures of Akiya across it hopefully getting our point across to give any information on him.
