Erica Hill hates working the graveyard shift at the gas station store. It's late, the pay's not great, she hates walking alone in the dark (even if it was just to get to her car), and there's no McDonald's within a 10 mile radius. She's only there to save up for college. But there is a silver lining to it; she has a huge discount when she orders from the best (and only) 24 hour diner around. She doesn't care if it's in the middle of the night, she'll order her curly fries and chocolate milkshake if she god damn wants to.

Max Lahey's the new lonely boy in town who ends up working the most unwanted shift at the local diner, the midnight to 3 am delivery job. Unsurprisingly, he hates every minute of it. Moving into some deadbeat town in the middle of nowhere to live with a new step-mother wasn't exactly the most thrilling thing ever. So, he decides to earn a bit of money to make himself busy. Except for the fact that the midnight to 3:30 am delivery shift sucks ass. Luckily, there's this girl who orders curly fries at an ungodly hour and suddenly it's not so bad.

This is their story; told in high school classes, milkshake flavours, and midnight deliveries.
