All Yours
24 | It's six in the morning

I couldn't stop thinking about what Bea told me.

It felt as though it was eating me alive from the pit of my stomach up, I couldn't shut my brain off after she had told me and I was absolutely hating it.

I found myself sitting in my backyard on a bench swing enjoying the view as the sun rises, I had no idea what time it was but I knew I hadn't sleep a wink and frankly I wasn't tired anymore.

I brought the warm mug of hot chocolate to my lips as I sat in awe, I grabbed my phone beside me and pressed on Bea's contact information. I waited what seemed ages until she finally picked up the phone.

"It's six in the morning what could you possibly want?" She said groggily, I chuckled slightly.

"Can you come over?" I asked, there was a small silence before she answered.

"I'll be there in 10 minutes." I smiled and quickly hung up the phone and waited those 10 minutes for her to come.

"It's so early you should be sleeping." Her voice spoke out from the corner, she slowly walked towards me sitting down beside me.

"I can't sleep." I said shrugging my shoulders, she turned her body now facing me looking me up and down.

"What's going on?"

I waited a moment before opening my mouth, I was sick of talking about Fernando and everything surrounding him. I reached a point where I'm just so tired I don't want to waste my energy overthinking everything.

"I think you know." I replied calmly.

"I thought we agreed we'd forget he ever said anything?"

"Well yeah, but tell me why I can't stop thinking about it." She sighed slightly before placing her hand in mine.

"Because, a part of you still loves him deep down but please remember you have Antoine whose love is even stronger." She stopped for a while, "He's in there probably asleep dreaming of your future and the little baby in there." She said pointing at my growing stomach.

"You're right." I simply said, I had no other answer to say but I looked at my best friend and smiled.

A noise from behind the swing brought us back to reality, we both turned around seeing Antoine standing at the door. He was shirtless wearing once his grey shorts, his hair messily tousled to the side.

He rubbed his eyes adjusting to the light, "Amelia? You okay?"

I smiled, "I'm okay just couldn't sleep much, go back to bed I'll be up in a bit."

"Hey Bea." He spoke sheepishly, she muttered a hello back as he turned his back and walked away.

"Go back to bed with your man, I'll see you later okay?" She said, I hugged her before she left and made my way back inside.

I placed my mug in the kitchen sink before slowly making my way back up into the bedroom where Antoine was sprawled across the bed fast asleep again.

I took my slippers off before getting back into the bed, he moved around before turning his body facing me.

"What's wrong?" He asked me his eyes still shut, I felt his arm snake around my waist pulling me closer towards him.

"Nothings wrong." I quickly said, he opened one eye weary of what I had said.

"I find that hard to believe, it's six in the morning and Bea was here."

"I just couldn't sleep, I think it was the baby." That caused him to open both his eyes as fast as he could to which he then bombarded me with questions.

"Is the baby okay? What happened do we need to go hospital? Come on let's go." I started laughing before he could even get up.

"Why are you laughing?" He said getting back into bed.

"Because, the baby was just kicking that's it." I said chuckling, it was adorable seeing him so concerned.

"God you really had me worried."

We were both laying there facing each other as I still had a big smiled plastered on my face, he continued complaining how he was still slightly but I kept reassuring him everything was okay.

"I'm gonna go back to sleep, I love you."

"I love you too." I replied as he turned around preparing himself to fall asleep again.
