Amber's POV:
Rambunctious laugher was heard from the living room. Murray I presumed. Alexei laid next to me, his face buried into the crook of my neck. I held Alexei close to me, like I'd never see him again. It felt like a dream. I felt like I was going to wake up at any second and Alexei would disappear. "I'll wake the kids up right now!" Murray said extra loudly. Alexei raised his head up and looked around. "What's going on?" He mumbled. "Up and at em! Time to tell us about your magical machine!" Murray said in Russian. Alexei rolled over to face him, giving him the finger. "You know what? I can do that too. But with both fingers!" Murray said in English. Alexei rolled his eyes and said "you're a problem." Murray scoffed and walked out of the rooms. Alexei sat up and rubbed his eyes. He grabbed his glasses which were on the nightstand and put them on. I hugged him and said "I thought this was a dream." Alexei kissed the top of my head and said "not a dream. I'm really here." I looked up at him and I smelt breakfast cooking. That had to have been Joyce making some food. Alexei and I went into the living room where Joyce has served us some food. Alexei began explaining what the machine was for while Murray translated. Joyce and Hopper seemed to get it more than I did. Hopper put his hand on Alexei's shoulder and said "I will get you there. I will get you to the headquarters so we can close the gate." Murray translated what Hopper said and Alexei began laughing. "What's so funny?" Hopper said, slightly irritated.

Alexei began explaining that the Russian headquarters were impenetrable, that no one could sneak in. "He says your courage reminds him of a fat Rambo." Murray said. Hopper pinched the bridge of his nose and said "oh my god."
