You and the younger asgardian prince have been friends since you were two tiny children, always sneaking out to the garden to play games or frightening maids with your silly tricks. One of your most favorite memories,was the the first time you spent the night in the palace. Loki had noticed you were having trouble falling asleep, so he pulled you out of your bed and led you towards the library, holding your hand the hole way, there was a dim light from the flame of a candle stick. As you rounded the corner you saw queen Frigga sitting by the candle reading an old book. Loki squeezed your hand and walked up to his mother. Frigga looked down at her son and smiled,
"Hello my son, why are you and (Y/N) not in bed?" She asked closing her book and setting it to the side. Loki gave you a smile before looking back to his mother.
"We are not tired. Mother,will you tell us a story?" The queens eyes softened as she smiled and stood up to go retrieve a book that the two of you might enjoy.

By the end of the first chapter you and Loki had fallen asleep cuddling next to each other on the sofa. And that is how your friendship blossomed into love.
