The Cullen's shared mate [on hold]

// The Cullen's POV //

Edward laced his fingers with Bella who glanced down and smiled softly

"I've never seen Carlisle and Esme so impatient. They're just so kind"Bella sighed running her fingers through her long thin hair

Edward chuckled and faced her "vampires are very possessive over their mates and knowing that we've already met Luna and they still haven't is making them jealous" he explained

"Wow" Bella breathed out not expecting that answer before Edward could open his mouth to reply, the front door opened. Their siblings standing at the doorway

Rosalie and Alice walked towards the two taking a seat beside them while Emmett and Jasper playfully shoved each other and chatted

Esme and Carlisle walking in next speaking softly to each other

Rosalie spoke up after a minute "I'm thinking about inviting Luna over after school. We got paired as partners in Spanish class" the room became silent instantly at the mention of their shared mate

Esme broke the silence first sending Rosalie a warm smile "I think it's a great idea" she agreed mostly because she and Carlisle are getting impatient and wanted to meet her already, though, they were also happy for their adoptive kids but both Esme and Carlisle couldn't help the pang of jealousy that flowed through them

Carlisle hesitated before finally saying what was on his mind "are you sure? It's not that I don't want to see my mate, believe me I do. But jasper you're still learning to control your thirst, how do we know you won't accidentally hurt her, I can't take that risk."

The room went completely silent you could hear a pin drop, the Cullen's watched as Jasper's eyes darkened
"I would never hurt my mate" Jasper snarled, Alice rubbed his arm in comfort, jasper relaxed slightly and calmed down before speaking again

"I have control when it comes to her. Her blood doesn't call out to me." Jasper reassured Carlisle who nodded still slightly shocked by his outburst but understood where he was coming from, no vampire wants to be accused of potentially harming their mate

"Okay" Carlisle agreed reluctantly. He didn't like the idea of his human mate being in harms way but he knew Jasper would not hurt her, though, it didn't mean he wasn't going to be keeping an eye on him

Rosalie smiled, clasping her hand together with Emmett's and pulled him away from the group, Emmett grinned at his first mate
