Chapter 4

Charlie's POV:
Everyday, I couldn't help but fall more and more in love with the brunette witch that has now been staying with me for a month. I don't know how she feels but I don't want to pressure her in any way. We've had our moments and few stolen kisses here and there once in a while. As much as I want to do unspeakable things to her and show what a goddess and temptress she is, I have somehow managed to refrain myself. But to be honest, I couldn't care less about it. She has been moving on and trying everyday to forgo the pain, being strong as ever, I didn't have the heart to mess with her head again. I knew she needed time and I'll give her as much as she needs, I just want her to be around. I could never help the looks of longing and love that I tend to send her way every once in a while but all I want her to be is happy even if it's not with me. At the moment, I'm in my room getting ready for the day. I guess I forgot to mention, Hermione accepted the job at the reserve and is our best Tamer. A soft knock brought me out of the dreamland that I tend to slip into sometimes. I went opened my door to see Hermione looking adorably cute in her baby blue hoodie and shorts. I didn't even realise I was staring until she called out my name.
"W-what were saying, baby girl?" I asked
"It's time to leave Charlie. You always seem to slip into dreamland every now and then. Are you gonna tell who this girl is?" Hermione said shaking her head in amusement
I pulled her flush against me as my arm encircled her waist. Her arms lay on my chest as an impulse. She gazed at me with her big brown eyes. The eyes that I've come to love and seem to fall for every time I look at them. I offered her a soft smile which she returned.
"How many times do I've gotta tell you that I love you for you to understand, baby?" I mused
"It still seems so surreal that I seem to forget." Hermione mumbled
"I love you and only you and I'll say it for as long as I live. No one will be able to change my heart or my feelings for you, Hermione. This is real. What I feel for you is real. It won't ever change. You... something about you draws me to you like a siren's song. You are a little vixen who is sweet and innocent but at the same time really dangerous and brave. It's something I've come to love about you and I always will." I said laying a kiss on her forehead
"I wish there was a way I can figure out my feelings soon! It's gets so irritating you know!" She groaned burying her face in my chest
"It's ok. I'm willing to wait." I said stroking her hair
Holding her this way day and day again, makes me more than willing to wait for her. I don't want to pressure her in anyway. Seeing her smile when she looks at me and because of me makes it worth the wait and gets me through my day with a smile. I wouldn't want anything more than calling this amazing girl mine but everyday is worth the wait. I'm just being patient hoping she ends up loving me like I love her! ! I really hope she does. Our moment was interupted with a tapping on my window. We looked towards it to see a owl. I went and opened the window to let him in. He dropped two letters and flew away. One was mine and other for Hermione. I gave her the that was addressed to her and opened and read it.

Dear Mr. Charlie Weasley,
We would like to invite you to the victory ball on 23rd May. You are requested to come and bring along your family or anyone that you wish to be accompanied by.
Do not forget to RSVP.

"Are you gonna go Charlie?" I heard Hermione ask
"I'll go if you're going. I don't want you to be uncomfortable." I answered
"I think we should go." Hermione said
"So, will you go to the ball with me, m'lady?" I asked bowing
"I'd be honoured to, kind sir." She replied curtsying
"You're so adorable." I said smiling
"Thanks." She chirped
"Are you gonna be taking Harry for a ride today?" I asked
"I take him and Gem for a ride everyday. Those two are just adorable, don't you think?" Hermione mused
"Of course you would say that! They only listen to you. Gem listens to other tamers at the reserve occasionally but Harry only listens to you. None of us can tame him, so, I figured you would say that he's adorable!" I comment
"It's because I treat him with kindness and like a friend." Hermione retorts
"Sure, you do." I muttered
"Anyways, what colour do you think should I wear for the ball?" Hermione asked
"I don't care what colour you wear, you look good in anything." I replied
"Well, I was thinking Slytherin Green or Violet or Purple... what do you think?" She asked
"I think that those colours look great on you! But if you're gonna try to infuriated your so called friends and ex then I say go with Slytherin Green and if it has some silver design or anything silver then it will be a cherry on top." I suggested
"You wouldn't mind wearing Slytherin colours for me?" She asked, hesitance clear as any day in her voice
"For you, I'll even wear something pink if I have to or if you ask me to. So, no I wouldn't. What do you say if you make your entry with Draco, that's sure to infuriate him and then I can introduce you to the family as my girlfriend or something, that's if you want?" I said
"OK, but then who will you enter with?" She asked
"I'll enter Astoria. We can basically just swap partners for the entrance and one dance. Then I'll spend the rest of the night with you." I answered
"Ok. I'll see if the girls wanna go shopping anytime soon. Let's go, before Harry decides to come here so I can take him to fly." Hermione said giggling
"Yeah, let's go!" I said shaking my head
I accioed my broom and climbed on. She climbed behind me and held on tight as I took off into the sky. She still has that fear of brooms for some reason. Not that I mind. After a few minutes, I landed at the reserve. Hermione got off and after I stole a kiss, she left to get Harry. I was making my way to Halo to feed her when Josh approached me with a girl on her trail. She was brunette and had glasses, looked around 18 or 19 years, as though she had recently graduated out of Hogwarts. She looked decent, sweet and caring kinda girl. I gave Josh a 'what's going on?' look.
"Hey Josh, who's this girl?" I asked
"Hey Charlie, this is Paige. She got out of Hogwarts a year ago and completed her Healer training course a few days ago. She'll be working with the Healers at the reserve. But of course after she completes the special Healer training course here and passes the test. I was wondering if you can show her around and if Hermy can the one of her trainers?" Josh said
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." Paige said
"Hi." I said to her and then turned to Josh, "Hermione won't be training her. It won't sit well with Harry and he might end up causing this newbie a great deal of injury. I don't want a healer to need a healer before her training has been even started." I answered Josh
"I think I'm capable of handling a guy myself." Paige interupted but we ignored her
"She is the best we have, so I thought she wouldn't mind training a young girl." Josh sighed
"She wouldn't have but strangers don't sit well with Harry. You know what he did last time. It's rather better if we don't try to create a repeat of that." I reasoned
"Yeah, I can't argue on that with you. I'll tell Artemis to be Paige's trainer. Anyways, where is Hermy?" Josh asked
"With Harry or Gem, where else do you think she will be?" I raised an eyebrow
"Hi guys, what's up?" A all too familiar voice interupted
We turned to face her. There she was, standing in all her glory with Harry and Gem on either side of her. I am really starting to wonder whether those dragons ever leave her side or not? She is the only one who has been able to tame the dragons no can. In past month, we have got couple of requests for our best Tamer because some dragons were refusing to co-operate from Dragon Reserves from all over the world. Hermione and I both turned up with Harry and Halo and Gem and they always thought I was the Tamer they required. Everytime we suprised them to oblivion when Hermione tamed the dragons with ease. This past month life has been kinda good.
"Nothing much. Was just wondering if Charlie can show the newbie around?" Josh answered
"Tamer or...?" Hermione trailed off taking a look at the girl
"Healer. No dragons." Josh answered her incomplete question
"Thought so. Just keep her away from the aggressive dragons and obviously my dragons. I don't want to be woken in middle of the night for a newbie like last time." Hermione told Josh with a pointed look
"Yeah, sure. None of us want a repeat of last time and I haven't forgotten your threat." Josh shuddered visibly
"Good. Did you get any new owls?" Hermione inquired
"Not yet but the day has just started. I'll tell Charlie or you if I get them. Depending on which one I find first." Josh replied
"That's great. Oh and Char?" Hermione said
"Yeah?" I asked
"If you don't get to Halo fast, Tanner might end up becoming her snack." Hermione informed sweetly
"Oh shit!" I said running off to Halo
