#1 brandy melville - a really basic ass clothing store that ipersonally don't like. (prepare for angry rant) - their bullshit "one size fits all" is really bad because it markets to younger children whose brains are scientifically proven to be the moldable at this time. so this really emphasizes health problems such as bulimia and anorexia as these gorls try to fit into all this "one size fits all clothing". also they market specifically to white ppl (look at the insta, theirs like one nonwhite model) also they only look for skinny, flat, tall, (mostly) white ppl. their workers also have a reputation of being told to kick out or judge ppl who don't fit that body shape. also, they literally take pictures of clothing they like which belong to smaller artists and just make copies of it. i used to have their stickers on my comp but i removed them. so yeah thanks for coming to my ted talk.

not linking their website because i don't encourage supporting them :)

#2 urban outfitters - i don't have a problem with urban (at least not that i know of). they actually have multiple sizes of clothing (SHOOKETH) but they're pretty basic and not very expensive (around 50 dollars or less for their hoodies and shit, 10-20 normally for shirts, etc etc)

also fuck i can't link it so sorry i lied, gotta change the first chapter but too lazy. kinda clickbait but idrc

#3 lululemon - a brand of sport clothing. every vscogorl can wear the oversize tee, lulus, and birkens and basically call it a day. pretty expensive, their shorts are like $30s. remember that i am broke as well

#4 other must haves include - abercrombie (i don't like them either because they had this huge scandal w/ those rlly racist shirts that are offensive to me), hollister, american eagle jeans, etc

sorry i hate everything. if you're not looking to be a vsco girl u should get patagonia, which is eco-friendly, and they fix broken clothing for FREE i'mpretty sure. cheapter alternative to lululemon is fabletics. u could also go to those really inexpensive online shops (shein, romwe, forever 21, h&m blah blah, but their clohesare probably made in not very humane working conditions)

hopefully by the end of the book u will be a better shopper and not by shitty stuff like brandy :)

(IM REALLY SORRY THIS WASN"T SUPPOSED TO HAVE SO MUCH ATTITUDE BUT ITS TOO LATE NOW HAHA)
