"noona?" the maknae asked from where he sat across the room. "what did you think?"
the boys had just shown me a new song they were working on and i must admit i was blown away.
"it was great!" i smiled. "you guys have really worked hard!"
especially chan, who's sat in the corner looking like death. i hope he isn't overworking himself.
"thank you, sunmi!" hyunjin smiled. "how's your first day been?"
"well..." i sigh a little. "i got lost within 5 minutes of being here and no-one would help, then i forgot my lunch so i haven't eaten, and finally i got a phone call from my mom saying that she was in the hospital..."
"sunmi," chan finally spoke. this was the first time i'd heard his voice today. "you should go see your mom..."
"i can't, chan... this is my first day..." i argue.
"well," he thinks for a moment before nodding. "jisung, felix and jeongin, stay here and keep practicing. that'll make it look less suspicious. seungmin, hyunjin and changbin, find a way to distract our manager and the guide for sunmi. minho, follow me. we're sneaking sunmi out of here to see her mom!"

i stare at him in shock for so long that felix stands in front of me and gives me a light shake.
"y-you really don't have to..." i mumble, my eyes fixated on a specific section of the floor. "i'll just go once my day is over. i don't want to get you guys in trouble!"
"didn't you hear chan-hyung's plan?" jeongin giggled. "he's managed to sneak me out before and i'm more well-known than you!"
i giggle and sigh. "fine. but it's all on me if we get caught, okay?"
"of course! wouldn't want to ruin our reputation!" chan laughed. "let's get going, okay?"
