I stepped onto the stage and reflected.
I was prepared, I knew I was but my nerves were bursting out at the seams.
They were sparkling like those sparklers that you light on The Fourth Of July.
I closed my eyes but found myself shrinking in the middle of a never-ending black ocean.
I could feel myself get dragged under the thick surface and pulled deeper into the darkness.
But suddenly, I was on stage again,
And everything faded into harmony.
My chest burst with warmth,
and I performed.
