"I was scared, Pony," he said to me. "You gotta understand, you're my best buddy, and I didn't want that to change."
"I'm not mad at you, I just-"
"You don't have to explain, man." We sat in silence for a few moments.
"Listen, Johnnycake, I have something to tell you."
He looked at me thoughtfully. "Yeah?"
"Well, I'm into guys too." His eyes widened. "I'm bisexual." Johnny didn't say anything, so I decided to continue. "And I'm in love with you."
"You... you are?" He was blushing.
"That's why I didn't tell you before. I didn't think you'd like me back."
"Of course I would, Pony," he smiled. "I've always liked you, I was scared you wouldn't understand."
"Johnny," I began.
"Yeah, Pone?"
"Will you... will you go to the dingo with me?"
"You mean, like a date?"
I smiled. "Yeah."
Johnny wheeled his chair around the table and looked into my eyes. "I'd love to."
And then he kissed me.
