Part thirty

You're sitting at your table at lunch talking away with everyone
"Y/n will you come out to the van with me?" Amber Asks
"Yeah" you say as you stand up
"Anything exciting happen since our last gossip session?" She Asks as you guys make your way to the van
"Nope what about you?" You reply
"Nothing really I've just been thinking a lot" She says
"About what?" You ask confused
"Eh Nothing" She stutters and then orders her stuff at the van before you guys walking back
"Are you sure it's nothing? You can talk to me you know" you say and she nods
"It's fine I'm just thinking things and sorting stuff out in my head" she says
"Alright but if you want to talk Ill always be here" you tell her
"I appreciate it" she says and then the bell goes so you two make your way back into school
"Off to my favourite subject" you say sarcastically
"Mr Simpson definitely wants a bit of you" she says with a wink
"No he doesn't leave me alone" you say as you walk away to your class
"You're late" mr Simpson says
"Sorry" you reply and sit down next to Cathryn
"Any detentions?" She Asks you
"No, you?" You ask
"No, I was thinking you had Mr Roger and he gave you one" she says
"No thankfully I haven't had him" you say which makes him laugh
"We have one last period of theory before we start to get back into the practical so I need all of this done" mr Simpson says and then he passes all of the sheets out which you all start filling them in
"Y/n can I talk to you for a minute?" Mr Simpson Asks and you nod and stand up and follow him out of the class
"It's nothing bad it's just Mr Roger told me that you said to him that you were struggling with the theory" mr Simpson says
"I never told him that" you reply
"Well just so you know if you are struggling just ask I'm more than happy to help" he says
"Okay thank you" you smile and you both walk back in
"Is Alyssa's theory correct?" Cathryn Asks as you sit down
"Which one?" You ask
"That Mr Simpson fancies you" Cathryn says
"No" you reply and start writing
"Well what did he want then?" She Asks you
"It was about Mr Roger because he was saying that I was struggling and he just told me that if i needed help to just go to him" you say honestly
"He probably wants you to ask for help" Cathryn smirks
Shut up" you groan as you hide your face into your hands
"Alright, Alright But I think he does" Cathryn says putting her hands up in surrender as you shoot her a glare
"What's the answer to five?" Zach Asks as he turns around
"Don't know I'm not on that one yet" you tell him
"Zach turn around" mr Simpson shouts and Zach sheepishly turns around and puts his hand up asking for the answer. The lesson is about to come to an end but Cathryn storms out which results in you giving Leah a confused look
"Y/n do you want to see if she's alright?" Mr Simpson Asks and you nod as you stand up to go and follow her, you go and find her sitting outside the toilets with her face in her hands as her sits on the floor, you quietly walk beside her and sit on the ground beside her
"Cathryn what's up?" You ask softly
"It's nothing" she says
"It's clearly not nothing if you stormed out the class crying" you say softly
"It's just I feel bad" she says
"Why?" You ask
"It's because amber walked by" she starts
"Have you two fell out?" You ask
"No it's just she told me a secret and I kind of mislead her" she says, what does she mean? Amber has a secret? Why are you not allowed to know?
"Just talk to her, clear the air and I'm sure you two will be fine" you say
"I don't want to lose her though" Cathryn says
"I'm sure you won't but regardless I'll still be there for you, both of you" you tell her as you rub her arm up and down which clams her down
"Are you okay to go back now?" You ask
"Yeah I just overreacted" she says as she shakes her head
"I'm fine everyone does it" you say and both walk back to your class Cathryn walks in ahead of you and Mr Simpson gives you a look to ask if she's okay to which you nod to. You guys finish your work
"Practical tomorrow" mr Simpson says as the bell goes which means you can leave, you pick up Lyss and drive home and that's when you realise that your parents are coming home today, you wonder what time they are coming home at and why they came home early.
