He greeted everyone and started mingling with the crowd. He hasn't noticed me yet. I was already feeling faint from nervousness.

He looked so much different now. He looked more gorgeous than before with his beautiful brown eyes that I've always been drawn to.

He went over to mom and dad and hugged them. He gave mom a peck on the cheek and she playfully hit his face which he smiled to, showing his dimples.

"Hey dummy....I missed you" Sabrina said giving him a hug

"I missed you too shorty" he chuckled as both siblings hugged each other

"Hey man" he and Zack did that bro handshake and hugged

"Wow Zack, look at you. You've grown more handsome. I'm sure you're stealing the hearts of all the girls here tonight" he joked with Zack

" Doubt that man. You're the one who's stealing the show tonight" he chuckled as they started catching up

"Ash" Faye called him and he came over to us. With every step he took, I could literally hear the sound of my heart beating faster

"Faye, long time no see" he hugged her. I stood there awkwardly looking at the floor which seemed to be very interesting at the moment

"I thought you forgot about me" Faye pouted

"Of course not. I wouldn't dare" they both teased each other a bit until he looked at me. My breath got hitched in my throat as we stared at each other.

"H.. hi" I whispered. He looked at me for a little longer and I saw raw emotions, anger, sadness, shock, hatred flashed in his eyes all at once.

"Dawn" he nodded his head in acknowledgement before turning around to mingle with his guest

"Dawn....it's ok. Please don't cry" Faye said. I touched my face, I didn't even know when the tears slipped my eyes.

"He hates me" I sobbed softly and Faye took me to the ladies room.

"Please don't cry. Maybe he's a little tired from the flight. I'll try and talk to him" she tried to convince me

"No Faye. Didn't you see the way he looked at me? He doesn't love me anymore" who's fault is that? My subconsciousness asked

"Don't conclude so easily. He's just hurt by what happened in the past. Please don't take his behavior to heart." She dried my tears and we both went back to the party.

Everyone was busy having a good time and Ash was talking to a handsome guy. He got a phone call and went to the balcony.

I used the opportunity to follow him. I hope he'll listen to me. I walked closer to him. He hasn't noticed me yet as he was typing on his phone

"Ash" I muttered. His posture stiffened as he heard my voice. He turned around slowly and glared at me

"What are you doing here? The party is inside" he said in a cold tone which broke my heart but I held myself

"I... I wanted to talk to you" I stuttered

"What is it?" He looked at his watch indicating that I should be snappy

"What happened to us years ago...." He cut me off

"You don't have to explain or say anything because that part of my life is something I have erased from my memory" I felt another pang in my heart

"Please f..forgive..m..me" I tried to say but he cut me off again

"There's no need for apologies Dawn. It's eight years too late" he turned to walk away but I held his hand. He glared at me, his look was filled with so much hatred that caused me to let go of his hand.
