Yakap Mo (Your Hug)

there is so much pain,
sadness and sorrow
in all the hugs
i've had before you.
those hugs held much more
than a friend's shoulders
or the tears that fell
from my father's face.
But,
your hug is like the sun
that warms my face
on the beach at Nickel.
your kiss envelops my lips
like the subtle way
you grazed my thighs
on the way to Dundas peak.
your touch,
sensitive and pure
all over my body
is like an electric shock
that makes me feel alive.
your smile,
lit up like a thousand stars
is what gets me up
so early in the morning.
my heart beat for you
that same day
yours raced for mine,
on the lot at the Go.
The day my hugs changed,
because of you.
