Jungkook was basically what you would define as "mean". He was rude, bad mouthed, and impolite. He earned his title with multiple stunts- The main one being him beating up a kid for accidentally breaking his lighter.

And this is why everyone was so shocked to see the "Mean boy" not being as "mean" as he used to. Sure he still acted like a douche but he seemed to try a bit harder at specific classes.
Specifically Art, Music and Writing.

He was nicer to the teachers and didn't smell like smoke in those specific classes.

"Are those teachers blackmailing ya or something? The hell happened kook?"

Yoongi asked as he took a drag out of his cigarette while looking at Jungkook quickly finishing his writing assignment.

"Nah- just- wanted to try harder okay-!"
Jungkook said, being a very bad liar.

The blue haired male raised an eyebrow at this obvious lie.
"Bullshi-"

"Jungkookie!"
He was cut off with an unfamiliar voice.

He looked over to see a boy with fluffy blond hair running over to them, specifically Kook, waving his hand with a bright smile on his face.
Hearing the boy, Jungkook whipped his head around to see the happy boy and quickly took Yoongi's cigarette and stepped on it.

"Hey what the fu-?!"

He quickly shoved his apple he got from lunch in Yoongi's mouth before the curse word came out, and turned to the boy with a uncommon bunny smile on his face.
Yoongi glared at him and took the apple out, swearing to get the ravenette back for this one day.

"Hey Tae! What's up?"
For a moment, Jungkook suddenly sounded like the sweetest person in the world.
It was like he changed his entire persona in a few seconds.

"I just wanted to see you! You did so good in literature today! I was so impressed!"
Taehyung said with sparkling eyes, reciprocating the same, or even more sweetness and love in his words.

Yoongi raised an eyebrow at this statement.

'The kid is absolute shit at literature- the fuck is this kid talking about'

Jungkook blushed with a small goofy smile on his lips.
"O-Oh really? Thanks means a lot-!"

Taehyung and Jungkook continued talking about several things with Jungkook smiling and blushing the whole time, with yoongi just awkwardly eating an apple in the background.

After a few minutes of putting two and two together and seeing the two interact, Yoongi finally understood what was going on.

Jungkook was trying harder in art, writing and music.
Jungkook doesn't smoke on specific days when he meets or crosses paths with Taehyung
Jungkook is nicer to teachers when Tae is around.

Taehyung is why Jungkook was acting so strangely these days.

Yoongi then smirked after this realization that Kook liked this little fluff ball.

After a few minutes, Taehyung left to help a teacher calling him, Yoongi turned to Jungkook, with an amused smile at the kid blushing in embarrassment that his Hyung saw him being so whipped for the sweet boy he was talking to earlier.

The blue haired male took a cigarette out and lit it while thinking of ways to tease kook about this new information.

"So... Taehyung huh? Never knew you were into sweet boys Kook~"

"Ugh shut up Hyung-!"

Kook was a crimson red by now.
He never wanted his Hyung to know he was trying harder in classes to impress Tae. Why you ask? Because Yoongi was gonna use the fact he liked Taehyung to embarrass him further and maybe get some free pizza and cigars out of it.
