SEVENTEEN - FINGERS CROSSED

[ HYUNJIN POV ]

I watched him cry, tears flowed down his face vigorously. Seungmin was sensitive.

He was an innocent boy who doesn't deserve to die, but there's nothing I can do about it. I have got to kill him.

I had already spoken to the blonde and the other one, I had told them that I would let them go after I kill Seungmin but they were not supposed to tell anyone what had happened.

I looked at Seungmin again, he was murmuring someone's name. Someone named Jeongin.

" Who's name are you saying? " I asked him sternly.

" What's it to you? " he said, sniffling his nose.

" You know what, I don't really care. Say whoever's name you like, you're never gonna see them again anyway " I finished as Seungmin's face turned into a frown.

" You're an asshole Hyunjin " he shouted. " You're an asshole ".

" Well, you're nothing great either " I said. " You're just a scrawny little kid ".

I walked a bit closer and knelt down in front of him. I placed my palm on his cheek and caressed it.

He slowly looked up at me with a innocent look on his face as if he didn't expect this sudden action of mine.

" Don't worry Seungmin " I said.

" Hyunjin, what are you- " he asked, confused. He probably thought I was being nice to him.

" Don't worry, you'll die a quick death. You won't even feel it " I told him.

Seconds later, he slapped me and pushed me off from him.

" You're crazy Hyunjin. You're crazy. You have no conscience! " he screamed at me. " Can't believe I fell for you, you're shit ".

Wait, what? Did he just say that he fell for me? He actually fell for me? Do I look that handsome?

Well, sadly his dreams are crushed.

" Sorry cutie, but I'm not gay like you " I said.

" Sorry, but who's the one calling another man cutie? You " he retorted.

" Shut it Seungmin. I would have you killed you the moment I saw you in the park, be glad you at least met your friends before making it to hell " I said.

" Then why didn't you? Why didn't you kill me? " he asked.

Why didn't I? That's the real question. What stopped me from killing him in the past? Why didn't I kill him when I got the chance and why am I hesitating to kill him now?

What has done to me?
Hyunjin, you were never like this.
What happened to me?

" Why don't you just kill me already! " he snarled at me as a smirk crept onto my face.

" Where's the fun in that? I wanna watch you suffer cutie " I told him.

[ CHANGBIN POV ]

After putting Seungmin in the other room, I came back to Jisung and Felix.

" What do you think he's gonna do to him? Is he gonna kill him? " Felix asked me with concern.

" No freckles, he won't. He always kills his targets within the second they make eye contact but with your friend, it's different. I can see that Hyunjin is hesitant to kill Seungmin " I replied.

" Then is he just talking to him? " Jisung asked.

" Yeah, probably. Do you both want anything to eat? " I asked them.

" No, we're good " Felix said. " Changbin, will Seungmin be ok? "

" I don't know Felix, keep your fingers crossed " I answered.

" Ouch! " Felix shouted.

" What happened? " I said and immediately ran over to him.

He showed me his finger. It had been cut from a few old glass pieces on the floor. It was bleeding, badly.

" My gosh, wait here. I'll bring you a bandaid " I said and ran out of the room.

I went upstairs and searched for the first aid kit, and as soon as I found it, I immediately ran back to Felix's room.

" Here " I said as I knelt down and put on the bandaid for him.

" Thank you Changbin, you really shouldn't have. It was just a small cut " he said.

" It was NOT just a small cut. You were bleeding badly " I said.

" But I'm just a prisoner, why are you taking care of me? " he asked me.

To be honest. I didn't know how to answer that. No, scratch that, I didn't even have an answer to that. So I just said what was going on in my mind.

" I'm taking care of you freckles, because, you don't deserve whatever's happening to you "

" Changbin, I- "

" No Felix. I said what I said. You don't deserve to be treated like a prisoner " I answered, still kneeling down.

Everything else that followed happened within seconds.

Felix grabbed the hem of my shirt and crashed his lips onto mine. His eyes were tight shut while mine were wide open in shock.

I, surprisingly, gave into it later and kissed him back with the same passion as him, fluttering my eyes shut. Our lips moved in sync. His hands on either side of my face and mine roamed his blonde fluffy hair.

I poured everything into the kiss and he did too. I didn't know I felt this way until this moment.

I felt love.

The kiss lasted for a while until we broke apart for air.

I looked at Felix but his head was hung low with a bright visible blush on his face. I smiled. He looked up and smiled at me too.

" You guys know that I'm in the same room right? I'm this close to throwing up right now " Jisung said outta nowhere. I had really forgotten that he was in the same room.

" Shut up Jisung " Felix told him as I slowly got up from the ground.

" I'm gonna go and get you both some water ok? " I said and walked towards the door.

Before leaving, I looked back at Felix and smiled at him. " I'll be back freckles " I said and left the room.
