So apparently while I was just minding my own buissness watching YouTube, my Mom comes in the front door saying,
"Guys. There's a turtle in the yard."
I instantly hopped up and I was practically squealing my head off when we found it! He's a little Eastern Box Turtle, I'll put a picture of em in the next chapter. He's a cutie, and we've already decided on name ideas!
So, my Great Uncle recently passed, and we've been really sad about it for a while now. My Mom has actually gotten him a turtle for Christmas once, and all the cousins knew him because of that turtle. So, it was like a little message from Heaven when we found little [insert name here]!
And despite seeing many videos advising against this, we've decided to let the little nugget join our family! Gander will probably be jealous, but he's a drama queen anyway.
(Literally as I'm writing this he's hoped up onto my stomach. I think he can hear my freaking *OOF* thoughts!)
Also, the names we've come up with so far are...
•Pinball (Because my Uncle had many old toys and junk he'd collect over the years!)
•Homer (Because he LOVED the Simpsons!)
