A/N: Sorry it's taken me so long to update! Your girl recently lost her job and is now backed up on bills, so life has been kicking me in the butt, but this has been a wonderful escape for me! So here is the next chapter!
"My dear Luna. To find the love of your life is a blessing beyond measure. You find the one that God crafted JUST for you. The one that fits ONLY you. You may not always like each other, but you will always without a doubt love each other, and that is what reassures you that this is the person you are made to love for the rest of your life."
I have been distant from Christopher the last few days, ever since our meeting with Mr. Watson. I needed some time to reevaluate the situation. Something about that meeting made us seem off, and I needed some time to process what I was thinking and feeling. On top of that, Lexi has been trying to get in contact with me. How can I engage in conversation with her after everything that's happened? Does she expect me to just simply forget that it ever happened? That the one person I had left to trust, didn't just break it, but shattered it?
Joel has been over my apartment and meeting me by the coffee shop down the block from where I live. He says that Christopher has been going nuts because I haven't called him back, and that I haven't seen him in days. "He's getting worried about you" Joel said to me. "We all are. What's going on with you? Is something wrong?"
"Yes and no" I replied back to him. Taking one more sip of my coffee, I looked up at him to meet his confused expression, waiting for me to elaborate on the circumstances of the situation. "It's something things that Christopher said to me that really made me question the standing on why I am with him right now and if I tried to force myself into loving him again because he was familiar and there was so much history behind us."
Looking at me sympathetically, Joel said, "Oh Luna, that is a completely valid thing to feel and want to think about in depth. Just, don't over think it and drive yourself crazy with it. Chris loves you, I have no doubt in my mind surrounding that. But, this is something you have to go through and you have to figure out in your timing. Just, don't stress it okay?"
I nodded my head in agreement, with a smile to reassure him.
I figured that day he wouldn't tell Chris of my concerns, because it wasn't something that needed to be discussed with everyone in creation, but I should have known. Christopher his Joel's best friend, and if it's something that can help his friend feel better, he's going to tell him, even a tiny detail. I guess, that how I got Christopher here in my apartment unannounced when I came back from grocery shopping. Imagine my surprise when I opened the door to see him sitting there on my couch.
"How did you get in here?" I asked, still shocked.
Without even picking his head up to look at me, He looked down on the ground, picking up the spare key I had given him just recently. "You gave me a spare key in case of emergencies, remember?"
"Kind of forgot about that" I answered, nervous about this being the first time I've seen him in a little over a week. "Well, what's up?"
"What's up? You haven't had any kind of contact with me in the past week and a half and that's all you have for me? I should be the one asking you what's up. What's been going on with you?"
So, maybe Joel DIDN'T tell him after all. "Nothing is wrong with me Christopher. I just needed some tie to myself. That's all."
"Could you have at least told me that? I was worried sick about you after not hearing a single word from you for 4 days. Now a week? And then I find out you're out with Joel while not even letting me know you're okay?"
