David sighed to himself and prepared himself to leave the counselor's cabin making sure nobody was around. Gwen knew that he was going out for the night, but not what for. David hated himself for it but he was a hard core rock fan. Like seriously obsessed with rock. His parents had always been into rock but David he was into a different type of rock, "emo rock." He wished that he could grow out of his stupid phase but he couldn't. He had tried many times. If anyone saw him or even just rumoured that David was an emo it would haunt him for the rest of his life. When David was sure it was safe to leave, he made his way for the exit.

David was wearing his favourite spiked leather jacket, one he kept in a box under his bed so nobody could find out about this. He had, for once in his life, changed out of his camp counselor t-shirt for a plain gray one and he was wearing black ripped jeans. In his minds words, he looked like he "walked straight outta 2007"

He left the counselor cabin, checking every few seconds to make sure nobody had seen him and made his way for the exit of Camp Campbell the happiest camp of all!! ...yeah right.. he thought to himself. He loved Camp Campbell but recently he couldn't shake the feeling that he didn't belong there anymore. Max hated him, the other campers hated him. Cameron Campbell, founder of Camp Campbell and the only father figure David had really had in his life, had tried to get him arrested for something he said as a child. Even Gwen didn't seem to care anymore.

He made his way for the concert. It was a my chemical romance tribute band. He didn't really like MCR anymore but it gave him nostalgia because of when he was an edgy teenager listening to MCR and crying about something or other or it reminded him of Jake. (Look I couldn't think of any other names). Jake was David's first boyfriend. He was the one to help David finally accept himself, he was the first one to change David, helping him become a happier person after some rough years with his homophobic step dad, he was David's 'first time' They were 17 when they started dating and only broke up when they were 19 because of a stupid arguement about how David was 'not loyal' to Jake after not telling him about things that had been happening with his home life. He was the first proper love of David's, and his last. Until recently.. His blonde hair, his blue eyes.. he couldn't help but fall for him..

Don't get me wrong, he hated Daniel with every bone in his body for what he had done to him and the kids but he couldn't help adoring him.. He looked so handsome.. he reminded David of Jake for some qualities. He wanted so badly to get rid of that feeling he had for Daniel. He couldn't forgive him for what he did to him and the camp, right? There had to be something wrong with him. How could he love a monster? A monster that almost got him and the kids killed several times. He remembered crying some nights because of it and Gwen rushing in to make sure everything was ok only to find out it was just David sobbing about a boyfriend he would never have. That's the real reason he was going to the concert. He was trying to find someone to put his mind off Daniel.

David arrived at the concert. Ready to clear his mind of Daniel, but all it did was make him think of him even more, added with the memories of his old ex, Jake. "Ugh. Why did I think this was a good idea again?" He tried talking to several people but nobody seemed to care. He got to the point where he felt completely hopeless and decided to go and sit at the bar at the back of the room.

It was a small building, not many chairs at the bar and the stage was small, the room was full of people like him but yet nobody seemed interested to talk to him. He couldn't help but enjoy the music and feel nostalgic, as it seemed to be the only thing he could do tonight. Maybe he'd have better luck next time. Finding someone he liked was always difficult for David, that's why he was so annoyed that it was Daniel of all people he liked. This killer crush he couldn't get rid of, his pale blue eyes scarred into his brain constantly. He hated him so much. And before he knew it, the concert was over and everyone was leaving. Feeling sad and defeated, David followed.
