In the middle of the night Adam began to freeze.
Far from home he was haunted by the same old dream that had creeped its way into the depths of his brain for so long.
He saw the farm he grew up on, the wide fields and the cattle. He saw himself as a young boy working with his parents to get by.
But the closer he looked and the longer the dream went on the wrinkles in his mothers face began to deepen and the walk of his father slowed down.
His parents aged infront of his eyes within seconds and with the power of a raging hurricane he was thrown miles away landing somewhere on a highway on his horse.
He was riding faster than he ever did, to catch up, to stop time or to even get back to his beloved home. Yet he could never make it. The breathing of his horse became more and more irregular and his body began to ache, still he never took his eyes of the long road infront of him.

Yet this time something was different he saw a light at the end of the sunset. Two brown eyes, the same color like the ones of a deer began to manifest in the sky and suddenly he felt hope and warmth.

A few seconds later he was awake and for the first time in a long time he didn't freeze.
