No longer we stare,
no longer we look,
no longer we see,
though our eyes aren't closed.Fading memories, ours,
slipping from our minds,
like they never existed,
as we stare at each other like strangers,
blinking, confused.Yet still, that stare does this thing to my heart,
a warm warm feeling in the start.Soon though,
it becomes much more,
as we stare,
unaware of the hearts deep within,
deeply torn. And then you smile, polite,
too charming.
Leaving me staring after you.You leave me alone, again.
You leave.And I don't even know what I've lost.
