Chapter 1 - A happy life

"Ate!" my sister called me.

I then hugged her tightly in my arms.

She is Sanya, my younger sister who is currently 17 years old. Yup, we only had a 1-year gap but we love each other so much. We don't fight that often unlike other siblings who have close gaps as well. We support each other and we are best friends. She is the best sister you could ever have.

"So tomorrow's your third year with Jake right? so where are you guys up to? this is a big day 'cause 3 years na kayo." She said as we both sat down the dining table to eat breakfast.

"Hmmmm... Probably mag de-date lang kami dun sa plaza or sa SM seaside. I dunno. What places are good here in Cebu? kasi I think nalibot na natin lahat eh."

"Ha? hindi kayo nag plano? why ate? Dapat bongga yan. You're right tho. Nalibot na natin ang entire Cebu haha!"

"Oo nga eh. Kaya suggest na please?"

"It's very special. It's 3 years. You must have a day na hindi na like yung ordinary dates going out. What if you surprise him here? sa kwarto mo? I can help you with the balloons and stuff."

"Kwarto ko talaga? eh sa hotel nlng kaya? walang gaanong privacy eh"

"Ate naman gastos lang yun eh."

"ay grabe ka Sanya. Minsan lang naman to eh. Tsaka may pera naman tayo diba?"

"Pera nila mommy at daddy yan."

"Pera parin natin to noh? hahaha just kidding."

"Ikaw ate haaa palagi kanang gumagastos baka ma turn off si Kuya Jake makahanap yan nang iba hala kaaa"

I choked.

"Hahahha eto talaga. I know Jake. He would never cheat on me and he accepts me for who I really am."

"Just kidding, ate. Ano ba don't take it seriously haha"

"Di nakakatuwa ah. 3 years na kami, Sanya. Ewan ko nalang if mag cheat pa siya eh perfect na man yung relasyon namin."

"Haysss kelan kaya ako makaka experience ng 3 years. Then with a perfect guy like kuya Jake. Swerte mo ate!"

"Of course. You can find someone like him soon. Maybe nga, nandyan na siya. We never know."

She smiled.

I'm seriously frikin nervous right now.

I don't know why but this is how I usually feel every CARD DAY.

yup. Card day. Silly, right?

Anyway, I am currently studying here in University of Cebu. Currently taking ABM, 12th grader. Yup. Ambata ko pa. Senior high pako hehe.

My sister also studies here as a 11th grader HUMSS student. She wanna be a lawyer. ABM kinuha ko cause syempre, ako mag ma-manage sa businesses nila mommy and daddy soon. Ako na ipapahawak nila.

I like it though.

How about my boyfriend? yup you guessed it right. He's currently also studying here as a 12th grader too and a STEM student. He's taking engineering. And tomorrow mag 3 years na kami. Time is so fast. Kailan lang kasi, 15 pa kami nung nag start kami. Now, we're 18 already. Pero bata pa kami.

"bes!" Called my classmate.

"Oh, Paula nakuha mo naba card mo? san daw makukuha?"

"sa AVR. I just went there. By the way and guess what? may line of 7 ako. Akala ko gen math, sa etech pala!" Sigaw niya. Parang na iinis talaga siya.

"OMG. how much more if ak--" she then hit my head.

"Silly, smart ass stop pretending to be dumb pls? parok you want?"

"haha chill. I know. I-I mean we never know. Tara na nga." geez.

We walked to see my grades. Hayssss sana malaki parin hays.

I shaked until my teacher handed me the grade slip and as I opened my eyes..

wohooooo!!!!!! YES!!!!! I'm the luckiest girl alive. After saying goodbye to Paula, I grabbed a taxi cab and went straight to our house.

I want to tell this good news to Jake.

I called him.

"Hello?"

"Hello love! guess what? I got an average of 95!"

"Wow that's great love. Galing mo talaga as always."

"Awww ang sweet mo naman. Sana naka punta ka rin kanina para ma check mo rin grades mo."

"oo nga love eh kaso busy rin eh"

"Oo na love. I understand don't worry"

"Ge lang. Babawi ako bukas. Date tayo treat ko. I'll pick you up early tomorrow."

Wait, what??? Hala pano na yung surprise???

This can't be. He can't pick me up. If he will, the plan will be canceled of course. I can't let that happen. Hayssss

"Hala love mukhang busy rin ako tomorrow eh. Sabado bukas pero may PTs pa na tatapusin. I chachat nalang kita if ano na. Baka sa hapon lang please?"

"Ahh ano bayan. Anniv natin tom eh. But it's okay love no worries."

"I'm sorry love. I love you."

"I love you too."

"Wow ang galing talaga ng panganay namin! manang mana kay daddy!" Dad said as he pat my head and played with it.

"What prize do you want my angel? you deserve it. Lalo nat 95 kana. You always get stuck to 94 diba?" mom said. Yup. It's true kaya nga napakasaya nila sa balita.

"Sayaaaang sana nagpunta ako sa card day kanina baka tumaas rin grades ko kagaya ni ate!" My sister Sanya said sadly.

"It's okay." I said. "I think you can still get it just ask your teacher."

"Oh well.."

"and because of that take this, anak" Dad said as he grabbed a box in a plastic. "This is from me and your mom for doing a good job on your grades."

what the...

YAY!!!!!

He handed me a brand new laptop!

"OMG THANKS MOM AND DAD!" I then hugged them tightly.

"we always thought na luma na kasi ang laptop mo. Baka madali na yang masira kaya we bought you a new one na surely magagamit mo for school." Mom smiled.

"SANA OOOOOOLLL" my sister laughed. "Pwede bako sumali sa group hug? I'll do my best sa grades ko soon." We laughed and let her join the hug.

Oh God.... I love my happy life.
